Seems like a lot of us rate him, and I’m certainly one of those. Feels like it’s a bit like the Raya - Ramsdale situation at Arsenal, in so much as that they are both very good keepers. I wonder if there will become a point where he will want first team football somewhere, or we try and keep him as backup for the time being and then introduce him when and if we sell Mads in a few years time for good money. After last seasons fiasco, at least we know we have good options at goalkeeper now.

How much of a story is this really? I bet clubs ‘open talks’ all the time about players. Might mean not a lot, and I for one would be shocked that the club would even consider selling him at this VITAL time in the season.

Went out last night. Hungover and read this. Wtf. Absolutely no. It may well sabotage the rest of our season. KDH was adamant at the beginning of the season that he wanted to get us back up, so why get rid? I get that the previous model was to sell when good offers come in, but now is really not the time.

Yes I dare say those clubs have broken different rules (I don’t know). Whether we like them, the rules are the rules. And I believe we have been wronged by Man City, who knows had they not cheated we may have finished 4th instead of 5th (absolutely not a given btw). But I agree we have been wronged more directly by what Everton and Forest have done.

I never said they weren’t well run. Though that seems a bit of an odd argument given they have cheated extensively! Clearly they have had competent people running the outfit in terms of football and recruitment etc. But you may wish to consider how much they have spent on lawyers to delay their case hearing and kick it down the line etc. Money does buy you the best staff, and it also buys you the best lawyers to muddy the waters and cover up their cheating for as long as possible - and therefore extending their period of success on the field.

I can’t get my head around how in the second tier we can sign a midfielder from Inter Milan who has 9 caps for Italy. His injury record aside, just goes to show how far ahead England is in football and financial terms compared to the rest of Europe. I’m looking forward to the meltdowns from other championship clubs fans - particularly those two from the Second tier podcast…

Exactly this. We can’t stop teams completely, and occasionally this will happen. All it takes is a cross or high ball into the box and we don’t get first contact. It happens. It happens to the Man City’s of this world, and it’s happened to us a few times. No surprise really. I think people need reminding we are 7 points clear of 2, and 8 clear of 3rd. Yes the gap was bigger a month ago, but prior to that the gap was shorter as well. Just the natural ebb and flow and flux of football. People really need to stop panicking.

Exactly. The team in third currently need to average 0.5 points per game more than us to over take us. I can see a sustained challenge from Southampton and possibly Ipswich, but they require almost flawless form and we need to stall a few more times. Southampton are on an insane run, but they’ve had a really good and lengthy run on fixtures on the easier side. They have some tougher fixtures from now on. Ipswich have mastered beating lesser sides, but whenever they have played a good side they look ordinary. Really annoying we haven’t got max points from them, as I think that’s been deserved.

Mavididi was very good last night I thought. Wingers always are inconsistent to some extent as their game is solely based on being the maverick and beating the full back with trickery and pace - and this is more high risk when compared to players in other positions.

We play our next game before Ipswich and Southampton which I think is important as it’s a chance to stick 3 on. Relax everyone. It’ll be fine!

We didn’t bottle it. We were the better side again, and their equaliser again had an element of fortune. My main outcome of tonight was to get the tempo back after Cov. I think we did that and are unlucky to not get all 3 points again. Should have killed the game off though.
