I don’t why people think football isn’t different to other jobs - granted the money is different, but stay with me... Any human being who goes into a new job with new colleagues will need time to bed in. It is human nature. Look at Jamie Vardy... and we’re all glad we persisted with him through his sticky patch. Add a new country and culture to the mix, and that compounds it even further. Silva is likely putting himself under feeling even more pressure to perform since he wasn’t allowed to play for months after joining. The result may not be optimal to begin with, but I would say that is to be expected. Why do we insist on judging people after so few games?

**New** Puel In or Out - A simple Poll Mk 2

Fair play. Over the season though it has been upward trajectory is the key point, albeit that has faltered recently. -
**New** Puel In or Out - A simple Poll Mk 2
Wasyls Pec Deck replied to Larry_LCFC's topic in Leicester City Forum
The rise of ‘Puel out’ surprises me for many reasons. He came to us when we were 18th. We are now 8th. Yes, current form is alarming, but at least give him a pre season... Not being a ‘sacking club’ (like Watford) has got us where we are today - I’m thinking NP when we were winless in 16 in the Championship or whatever. NP build the club into the team/ethos we know today. And before anyone says Ranieri/Shakey sackings show we are a sacking club, we were in the relegation zone with each, so arguably justifiable. If anything needs to change, for me it’s this insidious atmosphere from the dressing room - leaking to press, trying to undermine management etc. These players need to change their ways or be hoofed out. No single or small group of players is bigger than the club. If they don’t like the style of play then they should go. Makes me think the strong dressing room created by NP, and the responsibility he gave them, is a monster out of control. Puel was brought here to transition to a new way of playing. Counter attack is a valuable component, but it was our plan A, B & C... if players don’t like this new direction they should be shown the door. I’d love to know who these players are. I suspect one of them is Morgan. I’m very grateful to them for what they have done, but every dog has its day. -
Safe standing - time to act

VAR and use of technology? A lot of other grounds stock wine, and if I’m honest I think the lack of a decent ale is more of an issue for me than safe standing. Sick of shite lager dominating, though Singha is one the less shite ones -
Safe standing - time to act

I was making a point that I think actually its a fairly small number of fans overall that want safe standing and that it’s media coverage is not proportionate. I have come across people who are quite militant about it (not saying anyone on here is btw), and in that way I find it oppressive. -
Has Alli ever passed to Vardy? We have an answer...

Overrated little weasel. That Spurs lot have a real chip on their that little old Leicester beat the mighty Spurs to the title - it’s so pathetic it’s hilarious. -

I think this ‘movement’ is hugely overrated in how big people think it is, and these polls that get banded about are simply not credible. Let’s have a randomised sample, as opposed to a sample of the converted. Am I one of the few people not bothered about this? I like sitting down, and I stand when I want. I find all of this a bit oppressive to be honest. -
The best I’ve ever seen, and possibly the best the club has ever seen - but ultimately no one is bigger than the club. I will be forever grateful in his part of fulfilling my wildest footballing dreams, and wish him well when he leaves. I am am concerned about Puels style without our most creative player, though I think Diabate looks a good prospect. In the short term though inevitably it seems we will be even more toothless going forward.

Jamals for curry on Braunstone Gate, and The Western around the corner for ale ??

Managers who come to clubs when a sizeable proportion of the fan base are indifferent, then it doesn’t take much for people to call for his head. I’m all for him. Remember only a few months most were waxing lyrical over him. We’ve had a few iffy results lately, but who doesn’t (even Man City have had this season). I’m bored of defending him to be honest.

Did we really want Europa League?
Wasyls Pec Deck replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
This thread only requires one word: YES -
I’m 100% with you on this. I think Southampton fans were having similar discussions last season, and look at them... Of course there are things to address in the summer. Give the bloke a pre season and a chance to bring in players (that suit the style he was bought to the club to play) before judging him for god’s sake. I don’t have a problem with the style. We needed to move on from counter attacking as we were getting found it. It will take time and unfair to judge without a pre season (and point above). We are also 8th for crying out loud. In the Premier League! If Everton (with their larger resources...) were above us I think there would be less whinging. Were people whinging when we finished 8th with M’ON (our best position in PL before the miracle)? Sometimes fans need some perspective.

Claude Puel hints at contract extension for Wes Morgan

Claude Puel hints at contract extension for Wes Morgan

I hate this assumption that if you think he’s past it you are ungrateful for what has done. The opposite is true. Out of dignity and respect, I would hate to see him play much longer and further beyond his sell by date. Quit while you’re ahead! -
That was my first guess.

Is it all out unrest though, or is it one player who hasn’t been told why he isn’t in the team? The Guardian Football podcast lot thought it smacked of a player from the title winning team, not in the current team but who has a good relationship with a journalist...
-
A few have pointed out if you criticise the inclusion of Morgan by implication you are criticising Puel. Perhaps Puel lacks charisma and motivation skills - but we’ll never know. I wouldn’t have thought Appleton does though.
-
Point taken - still 8th. Like how Burnley 7th after that dire run they had (just goes to show how poor and inconsistent the PL is outside the top 6). Time will tell if the board think Puel is to be trusted with a war chest... I hope so as I think the major issue is player related and not tactics.

We are in a transitional phase with a few players who are square pegs in round holes, a few players who are not cut out for the style CP has been brought to the club to play. Despite the meltdown by some, and it is frustrating we have blown 7th, let’s have some perspective. Before the miracle 2 seasons ago our highest Prem finish was 8th - and we are 8th currently. Get rid of the deadwood (Morgan!), let Puel have a summer and see where we are at Christmas. Let’s not do a Southampton - the grass isn’t always greener.

The best human being to ever have existed.

After recent polls, I have just started another re the skipper. I’m concious if you think he shouldn’t be picked, then the manager is also to blame... but I am fuming after today.

Wes has been great for us, but after his latest cluster**** is he past it?

Puel In or Out - A simple Poll

There should be a Morgan in/out poll. -
Absolutey this.

It’s not the manager - it’s some of the players. When the worst player by some distance wears the armband then there is a problem. We lost the game in the first 10 mins, and he was culpable for both (and Simpson for second). Wayward passing, all round clumsy. How he gets in the team is a joke - particularly as Dragovic suits the style of play more. We were decent second half, and could possible even should have won it. But we cannot keep chasing games. Its not like Wes is all to blame, but it smacks of the manager not having the balls to drop a senior player. After his gaffe v Newcastle (and others) I’m convinced that this is a large reason that is costing us European football next season. ****ing fuming!
