  1. "YOU, YA CVNT"
  2. Thurcaston Road in Mowacre Hill apparently. Can't seem to work out where exactly. Perhaps one of the buildings near the FSD Academy? Don't know the area at all.
  3. Free speech only counts when it's the GOP and their cult talking. Pure hypocrisy. But also, this is obvious and flagrant corruption. ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel because Nexstar, one of their biggest distributors, said that they would not air Jimmy Kimmel. BUT, Nexstar is trying to acquire a rival distributor for $6.2 billion and has petitioned the FCC to repeal it's rule preventing more than 39% ownership stakes in broadcasting markets. This is obviously a move to get their broadcasting monopoly approved with the FCC after Brendan Carr (chairman) threatened ABC. Classic good old fashioned corpulent greed enabled by an astonishingly bent US administration.
  4. I've sent Finnegan a DM, an email, a strongly worded postcard, a carrier pigeon, and a telegram delivered by a Victorian child in mourning attire - demanding an explanation as to why he's barging in here with coherent, insightful posts about human behavior. People might start thinking rationally and worst of all - it could completely ruin the sacred tradition of Gen Chat's spectacular, slow-motion flounce-offs. This thread is in shambles. Explanation please, when you're ready.
  5. Had we not been relegated 3 years ago I think we might've seen some movement on this IMO. But ultimately that disastrous period started a decline we still haven't managed to halt. Nobody's redeveloping a stadium when they could be playing long-term Champo football, not only because of the gulf in income but if we fail to get promoted this year, attendances will start to drop off. Whether we like it or not, success brings people through the door. Again, the club blew their own foot off through the negligence of decision makers. A lot of people said the ramifications of that failure would be felt for much longer than one season in the 2nd tier - and they were right.
  6. It doesn't. Although I do love it when people flounce off to the technical support area of the site demanding answers. Most regular posters in here of all political persuasions have had posts removed and bans. Mark and the mods have been pretty clear where the line is IMO.
  7. I’m far from being a KPFC happy clapper but come on now.
  8. Isn’t Ricardo fit? Even at 60% he’s twice the player of pretty much everyone in the league. Must start.
  9. I'd hazard a guess and say in the venn diagram of attendees at Kassam Stadium tomorrow and members of the Oxford Union, the overlap is pretty small.
  10. Thought that was just Pearson and some of his squad? They also definitely reconciled a few years later and Stringer spoke to all subsequent managers until he was sacked. I think a number of the senior squad from that side (and therefore Ranieri’s) never did forgive Stringer mind.
  11. It's a fascinating thing to see: the narrative shifting in real time.
  12. If the father thing is true that's ****ing awful man. Imagine having to turn your own son in knowing he'll most likely never come home again.
  13. Very satisfying job for someone. Wouldn't fancy doing it 32,261 times mind.
  14. Still weird seeing him in other colours. I swear he wasn't embracing the grey when he was here too. Given up on the Just For Men? He's going to bag 15 this season and end up at Milan as their token elder-statesman impact forward next season. You heard it here first.
  15. Really decent of Marti to do this. Did Piper say it was 15 years since a current manager had a long-form sit-down with RL? I remember Pearson talking to Stringer but it was long after he'd left the club. With this and stuff he's done on the official club media outlets, he really seems to be making extra effort to communicate with the fans which is very welcome. He has no obligation to do any of it outside of the match comms. Lets hope being at Leicester City doesn't beat all this enthusiasm out of him.
  16. All the talk was that they cancelled FM25 and rolled over into FM26 because it's some revolutionary, built-from-the-ground up game with new match engine and all. Instead, they've spent two years updating the UI and adding some new lighting and animations? It couldn't be more obvious that they've absolutely hit their ceiling with this. They'll never be able to pull off the changes players actually want without missing releases because they 1. aren't capable. 2. probably can't afford it. Back to the EA playbook of "change the colours, update the roster and feed them some bullshit about absolutely meaningless minor feature additions - they'll never realise it's the same game" Looking forward to seeing more of the absolute abominations that are SI's idea of human faces.
  17. @Bordersfox with the ITK Coulibaly's callous clobbering crushed Kristiansen's chin.
  18. As a prolific lifelong user of em dashes, this ****s me off no end.
  19. He's aging, potentially ill, he's losing what little mental faculties he had, and he's a terrible orator. I'm not surprised they use these techniques to try and make it look like he can make a coherent address. I do agree though - when everything is examined on social media, this just fuels conspiracy theories.
  20. I've seen the video and I'm not convinced it is AI generated fully. I think it's a "smooth cut" in DaVinci resolve which is an AI-assisted editing technique. Like most AI, it doesn't deal with hands very well which is the telltale sign. Most likely several takes spliced as he's unable to string two sentences together coherently. Source: me, a video editor.
  21. Just log off and take some time out man. Gen Chat is a mess, anyway.
  22. I don't play anymore but it's obviously still an issue... And the main thing is the absolutely archaic match engine. If you find a tactic that works (this can usually be achieved in half a season if playing legit, or a lot of people just download them) you can basically just get to a point when you're cheesing the game's algorithms. The biggest problem is that that they haven't figured out how to make the AI adaptable enough so that you need to make meaningful changes from game to game. Find a tactic and just run with it forever: constant success. Also hitting the bar like 3 times a game is just ****ing stupid and they haven't managed to fix that in like a decade. Someone on here who worked at SI confirmed a while back that they're STILL using the match engine introduced in 2009 - it just gets tweaked every year. And if @Beliall is right and they've just draped an updated graphics engine over it, it's going to STILL be the same over 15 years later. The game needs rebuilding from the ground up and they're never going to do it because it's so profitable meeting annual release dates.
  23. He could just make one video and cover 95% of towns and cities in the UK. Instead he posts dozens that are so completely interchangeable they basically lose all distinction. Find a deprived area of a UK town or city Show shots of random stuff dumped on the street Insert headline about MURDER, STABBING or DRUGS Some baseless anecdotal evidence Hyperbole about DANGER Anecdotally I lived in Westcotes for years and I wasn't murdered once.
  24. Apart from the pedestrianisation of Bell Street it genuinely hasn't changed a bit in like 30 years. It's quite incredible really.
  25. The redevelopment of the west side into the Cultural Quarter has brought a bit of investment but the entire north & northwest area of the centre is still pretty grim. Humberstone Gate, Belgrave Gate and everything in between is in massive need of regeneration. They should start by obliterating the Lee Circle from orbit. Absolutely honking eyesore.
