This article says it's a brand new engine but fails to state that it's a brand new GRAPHICS engine. Unity provides UI and match simulation graphics (basically lighting) only. The core game AI and data crunching stills runs on SI's legacy code so it's just adding a new coat of paint and - if the reception to the Beta is to be believed - not a very nice one. Jacobsen's time is up and needs to go if the series is to actually improve. It's been stagnant for YEARS and overly reliant on legacy players which are slowly dwindling.

Just because they’re club legends it doesn’t mean they should automatically qualify for roles at the club IMO. However, there should already be an office at Seagrave with Kasper Schmeichel’s name engraved on the door. An absolute born winner who demands the absolute best from everyone around him. Not that our esteemed leadership would allow someone so influential questioning their decisions.

He’s always been a stopgap player. Unfortunately our recruitment is so atrocious that the temporary solution became permanent. Really hoping that idea behind the new contract is to maximise PSR profits from his sale rather than actually utilise him for the next four years. This dude was effectively binned off at both Boro and Sheffield United because he wasn’t good enough for either, yet he’s starting every week at good old Average FC.
