Deadpool 3 will clean up at the box office because it's predominantly a 18-rated comedy with probably the world's most likeable movie star in the lead and will see the return of Huge Action as Wolverine which people love to see. It'll definitely buck the trend in declining superhero moviegoers, but at the same time its not going to be a PG paint-by-numbers MCU snoozefest which is what people are fed up of.

I'm a big fan of his too.

I hope so. I'm surprised it's taken this long TBH. After Endgame the output should've slowed right down, instead they just keep churning out unimaginative copy / paste shit six times a year. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. The strike which has meant there's been little to no promotion wouldn't have helped, but for a long time Chinese audiences especially have been increasingly turning their backs on US superhero movies. I don't blame them. Cinema has been absolutely over-saturated with superheroes for far too long. People want fresh ideas.

The Mail comment section (i.e. Tory heartland voters) are absolutely frothing at the mouth over Braverman's sacking.

If you're needing a bit of Monday motivation, just remember that Cameron bonked a dead pig, then proceeded to fvck the entire country into oblivion. The fact he's about to walk back into government is reminder for us all that you should never give up hope. Keep going.

Pretty mad. Imagine spending £1000s on flights, tickets, hotels etc just to have it cancelled.

Epic Games owned Bandcamp? Random.

Green Day played a secret show at a tiny pub in Covent Garden last night. Was desperate to get into their 1,500 capacity show at the Electric Ballroom tonight, but tickets were a complete lottery. This would've been even better. I'm in central tonight and tomorrow night, and I'll be keeping an eye on Twitter as they have a habit of pulling shit like this out of nowhere.

Had a look this morning and front pitch standing is the best part of £300. Makes me even more fvcked off that I could've got them for half of that. Ah well, not much I can do now.

I've been with the same company for 12 years. I know I could earn much more if I played the career game, but the prospect of job hunting shits me up TBH. I'm fine with being comfortable in my job. I can barely remember what an interview is like as a candidate but I often interview people for roles in my team, and I get empathetic nerves. Keep your CV brief, and it might sound obvious but it's amazing how many people don't research the company / role / product before they attend an interview. One of my opening questions is always about recent output from our particular area of the business (I work in media), and 80% of people can't answer the question despite it being obvious and easily accessible. It's an instant no, and then it's just 45 minutes of wasting everyone's time.

I was out and about at the time, was bang on time for 09:30 and the site seemed to just melt down. My order timed out during payment after having front pitch tickets sorted. Had to go through the entire process again, by which point I just panicked and went for general sale standing which I'm annoyed about.

There was over 18 months between the first trailer for GTAV and its eventual release. Could be a way off yet.
-
Nobody really wants though do they? Where's GTAV Online update #1,732 and the "cars shaped like fish" bundle we were promised?
-
The sonofabitches actually went and did it. So soon after GTAV too! WE MADE IT LADS. WE LIVED TO SEE GTA VI!

"Alexa, give me an example of something that's super sexy combined with something that isn't very sexy at all" "Ben Brereton-Diaz, a Chilean international striker who was born in Stoke-on-Trent" Yes please.

Managed to get pre-sale for Green Day at Wembley in June. The process is always awful and Ticketmaster are scum. Utter cvnt company.

God-awful memes, thickos, vapidity, toxicity, endless dogshit ads, scripted videos, clickbait, ragebait, and generally people absolutely desperate for clout. At least on Reddit I might stumble across an picture of an interesting rock or something.

I've removed myself from most social media, so that temptation is no longer there for the most part. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are absolutely insufferable nowadays. I do spend too much time on it before I go to bed, though. I still use Reddit, so that's a particular vice. Also terrible habit of reaching for it whilst watching TV or films just to read about the show, or a particular subject. It drives my partner up the wall. I also love a Wikipedia rabbit hole.

Yeah. They had a model of it in the club shop at some point I think.

Definitely need tickets to this. Wondering whether I just order the CD to get access to the pre-sale.

By the time Filbert Street was torn down it was in a bit of a state, but its remarkable that they didn't at least retain the rather unique little art-deco turnstyle at the north end of the main stand in order to incorporate it into something else. The fact it seemly wasn't considered to keep it as part of the proposed development on the site after FS was demolished is sad. I'd love to see it incorporated into a part of the KP redevelopment somehow, but I rather suspect it's long since been lost. Shambles by the club, the council and original developers IMO.

Wishing a happy birthday to Matt Elliott! 🎊

Right after Muzzy's? I bet their joint birthday celebrations were absolute chaos. -
I go through phases TBH, but at least I’m playing and new guitars always help with that! (Trying to rationalise here) I’ve considered an Epiphone but I already own one, and feel like I want an upgrade - problem is I don’t really want to spend Gibson money. Epiphones used to be considered budget, but I saw the new Joe Bonamassa signature SG for £1,500 recently. Even my G-400 custom which I bought new for less than £300 IIRC from Academy Of Sound 20 years ago is now £600+ second hand. Guitar prices are wild.
