Had some leeks and sprouts left over so fried them up, added to mash and fried again to make some bubble and squeak fritters. Had it with a few slices of homemade slow cooked honey and mustard gammon and... baked beans. Big dollop of piccalilli on the side. Used to have a simple version of this meal to use up leftover roast when I was a kid. Proper nostalgic treat.

This. Pretty sure it's common knowledge that Rodgers and Schmeichel didn't get on and it's been implied that Rodgers saw Schmeichel's personality, influence in the dressing room and around the club as a threat to his authority. I think the wage demands were not the biggest factor in him moving on.

Thought it was fairly decent, but it was crying out for a M. Night Shyamalan twist ending which never came. It did a great job of building a sense of foreboding but eventually went nowhere with it. Not really sure what the creepy animals stuff was about - it never seemed to address it. Thought Roberts, Ali and Hawke were all excellent mind.

If we'd have sacked twat Rodgers when we should've I think Emery would've been attainable for us given where we were. Imagine how different our fortunes could've been.

Absolutely. It's straight out of the Trump "build a wall" playbook. The Tories are absolutely desperate so are enacting these absurd policies to appeal to the disillusioned working classes and Tory heartlands who are abandoning them. It's the same scare tactics that Leave used during the Brexit campaign. Immigration is the most divisive issue amongst the electorate, so they're just going hardline to try to cling onto voters. Thankfully it won't work. They're finished for the foreseeable future.
