Short term gain long term pain If true then basically they’ve paid us a few mill premium now and we’ve forgone and future larger windfall. I guess you’d do the same if you were selling your house …… -

Is it feasible that king power had ‘done a deal’ with a mid east group but that events in the region have meant that investments were reviewed and ours got canned hence the need to push a sale elsewhere because KP had perhaps banked on 150/200m incoming later this year. -

Boelhy hasn’t shown an aptitude for picking capable strategists to run Chelsea. They’ve had to mange by effectively fiddling ffp. imo, that would be out of the frying pan … -

I remember when Charlton had a stadium with a capacity of 70k whilst they were floundering in the third/fourth tier. Theoretically they had a large potential income. In reality the stadium was 80% empty each week. In the accounts, an asset is what you (the auditor) values it at in the reality of our situation, an asset is worth what someone would actually pay for it hence the reason we need a person/group who has so much money that these things don’t matter to them. They want to buy Leicester city ! -
Er …… no Despite the Russians not being known for their subtlety, I expect any message sent would be precisely that Eg. probably from the IRGC book of recruiting some local young disaffected via the internet to commit a low grade arson attack

I appreciate the package aspect A stadium is obviously essential (although cov proved that for a season or two, it’s not) a training ground is quite different - if I (as a non emotional businessman) bought the club out of administration I’d think long and hard about moving back to belvoir drive and selling seagrave for whatever I could get for it or redeveloping it as a hotel/training centre. Whilst I couldn’t argue much about the stadium having 30m value, seagrave is quite different. what should be the pride of the club has become a lead weight from a financial perspective. -

Seagrave is worth 100m as a premier league football club training ground outside the premier league it’s worth less than half of that because of its huge running costs it all depends who is valuing it and their perspective - value is often set against what something can be sold for. In seagrave’s case that would probably be max 50m. -

If we were to go into admin then there is the risk that someone buys us with the intention of hoping we get promoted and then can be flipped. no money to invest - just vibes. at least with the owners trying to get such a high price, we should avoid any buyers that would look to do that. If king power are in a corner and have to sell at whatever they can get then that risk increases. -

all the evidence we’ve seen over the years tells us this however, are we certain that the family are still calling the shots on king power ??? -

Top doesn’t do the accounting jobs at the club ! the financial director has a fiduciary duty and cannot just ignore a situation of impending administration. of course he would ultimately defer to Top and could have been over ruled. as others have said, for this to be true, the club would likely have provided falsified financial docs to the EFL. Can’t see it. -

Incidentally, Lcfc use pwc as auditors. Macquarie have recently changed from pwc to KPMG but this decision is under review if the rumour is true then you’d suspect Macquarie wouldn’t want pwc involved due to possible conflict of interest ? -

Could be that the only way we lose KP as owners is if we go into admin any prospective buyer reading these rumours would be mad to do a deal with king power. so who do these ‘leaks ‘ benefit ? they could be untrue but with a modicum of truth in that - eg. we need to bring 15m in before the window shuts Gonna have a think -

Trying to work out if any party would favoured by that article - possible buyer trying to suppress the valuation ? is it just poor journalism trying to push a story that doesn’t exist or has someone been fed something ? -
