unless he’s superman ! minimum I can see in top level football is six months and that isn’t going to be ready for PL matches they won’t rush him - they’ll hope he can be ready to start pre season with the rest of the squad. To get there he’ll have to do a lot of rehab and push himself when the knee is ready to be stressed to build back that muscle.

i was reading something yesterday that mentioned where walkers crisps had come from which differs from the narrative. we know (because we’re told) that walkers (the butchers) created walkers crisps in 1948. What I read yesterday is that walkers the butchers bought a local business called Farleigh crisps in 1948. Farleigh was founded during the war in St Peter’s road. so walkers crisps were created as effectively a rebrand of Farleigh crisps. The generation above me have all passed so I can’t follow this up. There’s nothing on the net. Apparently Farleighs crisps were v popular in the local pubs. Can anyone with a grandparent or parent in their nineties follow this up ?

Depends what other offers he gets Eg. if Fulham were to enquire then he might decide that suits him better given that he must have moved down sarf. of course Chelsea may decide that they would pay a much larger proportion of KDH’s wages if he came here than went elsewhere (if we indicated a willingness to discuss the sale of a keeper next summer ……)

Yeah - brain out of gear ! it’s horrendous to think about it in these terms.

Unsurprisingly (though you sometimes worry about some European countries re rape), all the defendants are guilty of rape of Giselle pelicot. An extraordinary and very grim case. in a small town of around 8000, fifty men being sent to prison for notable periods is going to be significant. The pelicot family have been decimated (although gisele seems to be quite an amazing woman). Fifty other families are going to be sig affected too (though nothing comparable). is there any precedent for a small town like this to be affected by something of this magnitude numerically ? Surely the town will be stigmatised by this forever ?

If protocols are followed then sadly he can. He’ll miss a number of wolves matches. Unfortunately I think our game could come too early for his suspension. I’d expect wolves to appeal any sanction above 3 matches. I’d expect that with Xmas period upcoming that could delay his suspension for a couple more games. Wolves have till Thursday evening to submit their thoughts. Hopefully his sanction is issued on Friday. If not, then he plays against us. If he receives a ban more than three games and wolves appeal the length then I’m not sure if the whole five games have to wait until the appeal has been heard.

He’d not played for many months he’d not be considered match sharp - less relevant for a keeper but still important. split second judgements. He might make a call to his mate enzo again for some advice 😄

They’re alive - just stuck on their own until they go of natural causes. that could be many years. Unlikely I know unless they’re mentally v strong. I’m just fed up of the state having to pay a small fortune to keep the worst of the worst locked up for decades. Why do they deserve that ? Those who they killed don't get to take another breath.

Surely we’re getting closer to being able to place murderers such as this (with no chance of parole) in single cell units on an uninhabited Scottish island where food etc is delivered by drone. if they fall ill then c’est la vie (or not). Erdogan has a lot to gain domestically if he can get at the Kurds in Syria . This isn’t really being reported in the western media. The Kurds have had a bad few months on many levels. Obviously the fall of Assad is good for them but if it enables the Turks to get at them without fear of attack from other forces then it may end up being worse. (Certainly in the short term)
