Norwich 0-2 LCFC - Post Match Thread
st albans fox replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
He looked a little dodgy first game on corners and he didn’t come to punch or catch one last night. would be interesting to see us play a team again with great delivery (as hamer for cov) The passing stats are presumably as a percentage of total passes. So many of our passes are sideways safe as we move the opponent around. I suppose the stat to look for would be losing possession on forward passes/ passes in the final third. -
Well sky showed he’d been booked on screen - they even commented on it as being for ‘showing a yellow’ to the ref strange

He did

Norwich pressed us with numbers and that restricts his options short. But his team mates can help him out with their positioning if he’s happy to just bring the ball forwards he also needed to have players coming into the space wide thirty five yards up the pitch for the chip ball out there - if Norwich close those out too then he’s gonna have to rely on the long pass to a runner as per kasey in the first half I assume that enzo and his coaches will be working on this - there are ways around it but as was mentioned in an earlier post - late in the game with a single goal lead, you might want to sometimes ditch the dogma !

Completely lost control of this game
-
Certainty off the pace
-
They’re pressing high with 4 or 5 that leaves quite a gap behind - surprised akgun hasn’t shown for the pass rather than it always having to be kel

Nuts If the formation is the same then it doesn’t matter so much if the personnel changes i wonder if this rotation means we are likely to be strong at anfield ?

the current govt policy is irrelevant. i suspect this is simply another stick to try and beat starmer with next year as the pre election debate heats up. 'labour dont care about your costs'. that kind of stuff

Ok matt we saw it the first time 😄 -
Susan surely wouldn’t get involved in transfer dealings (unless there are personal relationships to be exploited to get things done eg. Maguire to yanited)

We aren’t going to go through the season winning seven from every eight The hull game showed that sometimes it just doesn’t happen we could play really well tomorrow and not win. The coach understands that it’s a marathon and not a sprint. Losing tomorrow won’t affect whether we go up next spring or not. Losing to a side who are in and around the top four is more relevant imo. Tomorrow is very much a not lose from that perspective. -
They won’t stay this lucky for much longer

He’s big that’s it I can understand bringing in a big fella at U16/18 level to play against the strikers training but appiah is just a poor player -
Preston behind v brum
-
Us being good isn’t a story for them much easier to say how bad some of the bigger teams are - especially if they’ve dropped down with a parachute payment that they hate
-
Watching this game and Preston look awful so far

I have an issue with the emphasis being that it’s all our fault - ‘as a result of human-caused greenhouse-gas emissions’ this doesn’t help to bring the non believers towards the sensible end of the discussion. Our emissions are certainly contributory - whether ifs hugely or partly isn’t clear because no one can be certain at this point. Would be way better to say that our input is making a naturally warming climate warmer faster. Telling people that don’t want to listen that it’s their fault surely isn’t a good approach to draw them into the debate.
