  1. I'm more concerned about Middlesex than Derbyshire as far as promotion is concerned.
  2. Quite possibly.... 2002 according to Google
  3. Ended up down a football-related Wikipedia rabbit hole (reading up on how Tomi Petrescu's career went, if you must know) and stumbled upon this... I'm sure someone must have seen it before, anyone know the story behind it?
  4. Given that their midfield has been dominated by Skipp and Soumare within the last 4 days, I'd say he's chatting breeze.
  5. As I said, haven't seen anything of Carranza..
  6. Positive. Jordan James looks like an unbelievably shrewd piece of business and just the type of player we needed. Haven't seen anything of Carranza but we've not had a big bastard up top for years, so I'm looking forward to that. Ramsey should be pretty good at this level. A good amount of deadwood gone for decent money. It's a good window, for the position we're in, and I feel that we have plenty to get behind this season.
  7. Think we'll see a lot more of Ayew as a 10 than a some on here are expecting.
  8. We're still the most attractive club in the division for potential new signings- just a question of whether we've got the cash to throw around.
  9. Haven't kept track of it. Fallen out with the owner?
  10. Forest fans on social media seem to have turned on Nuno...
  11. Surely I haven't just seen Darren Eadie's name in a worst ever Leicester side? What is this?
  12. Yeah, lost it for the goal and it felt like a long time since we'd had a noise like that... possibly Stephy against Birmingham last time!
  13. Really enjoyed it last night. A lot more effort shown on the pitch and in the stands. Said it after the Charlton game, but I think we'll get better as the weeks go on- the youngsters will keep improving, a few wins will start to clear the rotten mentality and the squad will be a lot more settled once the transfer window shuts, one way or another (hopefully with a couple of solid additions). We've got the quality to challenge at this level throughout the side. Vestegaard has turned into Beckenbauer again and, just maybe, the penny might finally have dropped with Soumare that he's got to graft for it- much better over the last couple of games.
  14. He's going to be a very, very important player for us this season. I think people still tend to judge him (particularly at RB) by our standards a few years ago- he probably wasn't quite good enough against the best teams in the country but he's bloody good at this level. Seems to have developed into a real leader too, which can only be a good thing for the youngsters.
  15. I like him. Quite surprised at how negative the perception of him is on this thread- the lad can defend. Looks like he gives a shit too, which is almost enough in itself at the moment.
  16. To all those predicting back to back relegations... that is what we're supposed to be up against at the top end of the table. Dross. Pound for pound (full end, optimistic mood), that might be the worst set of away fans we've ever had down here too.
  17. Nowhere near as bad as people are making out.
  18. I agree to an extent, but I suppose you don't want to throw the kids in at the deep end if they aren't up to it yet. Alex Green was probably ready for a run in the side. I haven't been keeping tabs on the seconds much, but it doesn't sound like we have any young batsmen really knocking on the door currently?
  19. Been a while since one of these threads reared its head.
  20. Really poor with the white ball all summer really. Still, we've been brilliant with the red ball and that's all that matters this year in my eyes.
  21. Watch us actually post a decent total today.
  22. For £30k a week? I'd absolutely bring him back. Should have finished his career here anyway.
  23. You're absolutely right. It was actually 'he used to be shite, and now he's still shite' me and my mates used to sing about Canero as kids. Time has clouded the memory a bit
  24. Birmingham don't look great on paper, but momentum and positivity can be absolutely massive in this league- look what happened with Ipswich. We're the complete opposite. I think they're a danger, in terms of both this game and the promotion race (if we even see ourselves being a part of that). The league seems more wide open this year than it has for a long time with all 3 relegated sides looking very average.
  25. Canero used to be shite, but now he's alright. Justin in reverse.
