What a man. Built the club up from its lowest point to a position where it could win the top flight. Possibly the most important figure in our history.
-
I think we're at the point where I'd rather have Harold Shipman in charge to be honest.
-
Will the club just cancel your season ticket if you cancel the direct debit? Asking for a friend.
-
Least of our worries, to be honest.
-
The ground has been half empty towards the end of games we're losing (even by 1) for years. Atnospheres are dead, home and away. He absolutely has a point, our fans are shite.
-
Possibly not. But look at the effect it had when we had a 'no dickheads' recruitment policy and kept signing other clubs' captains under Pearson. We've got a crop of young players coming through at a stage where they are developing habits and mentalities that will help to shape their careers, and the senior pros they have to look up to don't give a shit. Professionalism can be just as contagious as the culture we have now.

In an ideal world, Brownhill comes in and we get some sort of fee for Soumare. Skipp's going nowhere so hopefully he can find a bit of form and settle- he's been absolutely dreadful so far this season but there has to be a player in there at this level. He looked decent when he first joined (seems a very long time ago now). Don't want to be throwing Page in at the deep end and asking too much of him.
-
Exactly. I'd personally be going with Winks and Hamza at this point, but that would cause a few aneurysms on here as well. Fact is we're really short on reliable options in the centre of the park.

James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

9m is outrageous business on our part, if true. Sure they've not added an extra zero on the fax, in error? -
Nowhere near enough contrast for Ipswich! Blackburn, QPR, Cov and at a push Sheff Wednesday and West Brom (but the pink kit would be fine for all of them)
-
It's completely pointless and there will only be a couple of opportunities to wear it, but that's superb.

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Have I missed something, why is there so much talk about Abdul going? -
It's a win, that's all that matters at this stage. Fair play to Wednesday, they were bang up for it- I said before that it might be a bad time to play them. Really positive sign that Marti can turn things around after what was, let's face it, an absolutely horrific first half.
-
Fair play, I've got no issue with him giving a bit back. Much rather that than him sulking or shying away.
-
Inching towards a defendable total here. We'll have to bowl well though.
-
That's a shame- haven't been for a couple of years. Quite common to see with successful Indian restaurants though, and often the beginning of the end.
-
It'll be a scrappy game- Wednesday will know that the crowd will start getting restless if they keep it tight for long enough. Hopefully we score early, but I don't think it's going to be as easy as some are expecting.
-
I'm still in disbelief that they've issued this, but it shouldn't be a surprise- this is the fanbase they want, this is the subsection of our support that they've been basing all decision and policy around for years.

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official
Ted Maul replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
West Ham have got themselves a bargain- he'll be one of the best keepers in the country for the next decade. Yet another result of our board-level inadequacies. I'm not as certain as some that Jakub is good enough for where we want to be just yet- particularly in terms of his distribution. Wouldn't be comfortable having Begovic as number 1 for an extended period if he gets injured either. -
Southampton look absolute guff.
-
3 promotions in a row... very difficult to build that fast, even with heavy investment (relative to the lower levels- not so much compared to the clubs they're competing with this season).
-
A few years of mediocrity might do the fanbase some good- clear out the day trippers, get us up for it again. Would be a disaster for the club though.

Besiktas confirm they are close to signing Wilfred Ndidi
Ted Maul replied to Ric Flair's topic in Transfer Talk
Honestly thought Ricardo would end up at Barcelona. Had no weaknesses, good defensively, excellent going forward. It's great to still have him here and he's still our best player when fit, but sad to see what injuries have done to him. As for Wilf- he's been superb for us, one of our best ever midfielders, but the time is right. He needs a new challenge, we need to start again and rebuild. All the best to him, I'll be keeping an eye on Besiktas this season now.
