I think we signed him from Osasuna?

It's not bad, but aren't they just the Miami Dolphins colours? I certainly wouldn't be throwing a white linen blazer over it. The actual style in Miami Vice that they are alluding to was way better! 🤣

Having just seen it I have two comments: - it's way, way better than the predictions - my 7 year old son loves it! It's easy to be triggered, but let's be honest, most new football kits are distinctly average, uninspired and over priced. Just read some of the absolute bollocks in this article, deserving of pseuds corner... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/czq6eqw9el5o

A bit naive if you ask me

Go for it, it's a great spectacle. I've been to a few Départ and Arrivée in the past. Mainly in the Carcassonne area where I've often stayed. In fact I was on Plateau de Beille in 2004 and they finish on the same climb later today! With the Grand Départ in Lille next year you've got to think they'll have a stage including some of the cobbled roads from Paris-Roubaix spring classic, which will be worth watching.

We're all entitled to our opinions, but I didn't skew your comments. You referenced it as studs up, coming into contact with an opponents shin, and described it as dangerous. But none of that actually happened. He was just trying to block. Kane got his shot in and then there was contact. It didn't intimidate Kane or put him off. I'd agree if it was a threatening tackle, but it just wasn't. I normally side with the attacker in challenges and decisions, it's easy to put an attacker in possession off their stride or shot with some cynical contact. But in this instance Kane's shot wasn't affected by the contact that came after.

His studs were facing away from Kane. The contact happened after Kane had made contact with the ball (and blazed it over). You can have contact in the penalty area without it being foul. Just watch every single corner, ever. Something they clumsily call a "coming together". In realtime I wondered whether the challenge was studs up, which should mean a penalty. But on replay it simply wasn't. So for me, never a penalty. Are you going to give a penalty every time a defender touches an attacker, after they've taken a shot?

Where will you be watching the final?

Spain! Fly out Saturday for a 2 week family holiday. I'm taking my firestick, though as the BBC iPlayer will probably be about a minute behind realtime, I'm tempted to watch on terrestrial spanish TV in the villa we're renting. I've already packed my England shirt 😂 -
He got his chopper out, innit!

Yep, Mainoo surely has to start after his cameo. He looked like he could domposed and could move the ball forward. For me there's a question mark over Rice. I thought he was our defensive midfielder but in the game now they need to be able to progress the ball. I didn't watch the Premier League last season but apparently he failed in that position for Arsenal and was shifted to an 8, playing box to box. If he's going to do that for England, I'd prefer Bellingham in that position, shifting Foden to 10 where he's most effective. Whilst Bellingham has had a great season at 10 for Real, he'll play deeper next season. He's more of a goal-scoring 10 than creative, getting into the box onto balls. He's clearly an all-round midfielder, most effective all over midfield not stuck up at 10. With Foden at 10, you can then play a more effective wide man on the left. Then we just need to find a left back!

On his FIFA coaching course they referred to him as (Sir) Hugh Schlong.

I immediately thought of this when I saw Churchill mentioned!

I wonder, wages back then, even for the top players, were not life changing. So if you were settled in an area with a young family, and were offered similar terms for a few more years, would you be so keen to move on every couple of years, with all the relocation etc that involves? 🤔 -
It was a pun on Jon (Rudkin)!

It won't matter how upmarket the restaurant. Balague won't notice it as he spends most of the time noshing under the table!
