Danny Ings? You're ambitious! It'll be Rhian Brewster on a free!
-
Toffolo, Jamal Lewis or Junior Firpo are all free.

We know roughly what happened because we were told but A, we don't know how accurate it is, B, we don't know how he was asked, was he quietly pulled aside? Was he blasted in front of everyone? C, was he even asked? Was it demanded? Did something happen before hand? Like I said, we have no idea what actually happened and Ruud has shown (reportedly) that man management isn't always his strongest card.
-
Ok, it's clear you know more than the rest about what happened. Care to share? Because as far as I see it, NO ONE really knows what happened with RVN and Winks. Sure, Winks may have been at fault but I think it's worth baring in mind that, Ruud may have been the problem and given his previous of falling out with Okoli about his boots then essentially cutting him out and the reports of a group of players at PSV unhappy with him and even going above his head to the directors, THAT doesn't seem too far of a stretch. So what is it? You clearly have info that puts the blame on Winks, fancy telling the rest of us?

To be honest, I forgot BDCR even existed. Hopefully he goes but we probably will be stuck with him. JJ can say what he likes, he was HORRIFIC this year and even if it is in the Championship, I think he would be lucky to even be a part of the squad, covering both right and left back but I still think we need a starting LB and with Ricardo inevitability getting injured, it would leave Woyo and JJ at RB. Those two from that list would be good with me, I would also take a chance on Brownhill and Jamal Lewis too but would make an attempt at Firpo on a free from Leeds first.

Players I'd think will go... Hermansen Kristiansen (loan) Faes Vestergard (hopefully) Ndidi Soumare (loan) Bilal Along with the out of contract players. So our squad will be... GK... Stolarcyck NEW GK LB... Thomas NEW LB RB... Ricardo JJ Woyo CB... Souttar Nelson Okoli Coady CM... Winks Skipp Choudhury NEW CM WINGER/NO.10... Mavididi Fatawu Alves Monga Evans Ayew MAYBE NEW STRIKER... NEW ST NEW ST Players i could see us signing.... (But don't necessarily want) GK - Bergstrom (Chelsea) free GK - Gunn (Southampton) free LB - lewis (Newcastle) free LB - Toffolo (Forest) free CB - Darling (Swansea) free CM - Brownhill (Burnley) free RW - Tyrys Dolan (Blackburn) free RW - Gray Diangana (WBA) free ST - Rhian Brewster (Sheffield utd) free ST - Danny Ings (West ham) free Plus I'm sure there will be a few loans.

Dominic Calvert whatshisface to WestHam.

The problem isn't slow, possession football. There is a time and a place for it and we have seen that the likes of Enzo and Martin can be successful with it. The problem is, when you can't or won't deviate from it when you need to. My biggest issue with Enzo was that when his philosophy wasn't working, his answer was to keep trying it and we got away with it more than once purely down to the fact that we had more quality than most. That's why I was worried about the prospect of the EPL under him. The gap in quality wasn't in our favour and he hadn't shown the ability or desire to switch it up when he needed to. Russell Martin is the same in this respect. Plan A is slow, possession, technical football and plan B is more of plan A. It doesn't matter what brand of football a manager prefers. That style won't always work and that's when they really earn their money. Being able to adapt and overcome what the opposition are doing when it's not going well IS the job.

You've got to laugh at this point! That is HONKING!
-
Best things to come from today would be a Monga or Evans goal. Fans making their feelings on Martin. KP out chants. Ruud announces he's heaving post match. .... a win would be nice but meh!

Any time i see that folk have commented on the Daka thread, I just know that it's going to be people winding up @Finnegan

I was convinced it was going to be Steven Gerard which i was gutted about and yet.... this is worse!

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

100%. If we get deducted points THIS season, it's more than we deserve. -

I can see it now.... We get the deduction this season, go bottom, celebrate it as a win. Then Man City are deducted 100 points, go bottom and Ipswich stay up. -
Well, that's IF we get to it THIS season. If we fight it or there are any delays, it may officially be next season that any decision is reached and so that's when we would get the punishment. So yeah, it makes sense that we really should be trying to push for this as quickly as possible but bare in mind, we are only facing this so close to the end of the season because we wrought so much on the previous charges and this got pushed.
-
So as it stands... We will almost certainly start the season on minus points. PSR will force us to sell anyone worth anything and struggle to replace them. We will have to stick with the dross that no one wants. Rudkin and co will keep their jobs. And..... Russel Martin will be in the dugout. ... I can't actually believe the season is already a write off before THIS one has even finished!

I was brought up a rangers fan but in my late teens realised that I didn't want to be associated with a club and fanbase that glorified and revelled in politics, hatred and religious bigotry. Having said that, the prospect of a King Power owned Leicester team, put together and run by Jon Rudkin and managed by Russell Martin has had me listening to the Sash whilst browsing second hand Ulster scarfs all afternoon

Is there still anyone defending the owners? They are running us into the ground. -
No. Maresca was pretty big on drilling passing patterns into the team. Those patterns were for short passes and Winks was integral to that. In short, Winks passed short and slow because that's what was demanded of him from the manager. There is no reason to believe he wouldn't play more direct and faster if that's what a new manager would ask of him.
-
A knowing smile and cheeky wink would be all it took. ....failing that, him sprinting from the pitch, climbing the stand and tea-bagging Top whilst holding strong eye contact the entire time with John Rudkin would suffice.

Fatawu gets injured for a few months and folk forget he ever existed!

That's about 9 yards more than any of our current centre mids excluding Bilal.

Am I missing something or is there a reason that people have decided that it's Winks that is the issue? I'm not saying that he isn't! What I'm saying is do we know for sure because as far as I can see, he hasn't got any previous for acting out but Ruud does have a reported history of clashing with players. There was the whole Okoli thing earlier in the season as well as a few reports about clashes with some players at PSV that led to them going to upper management about him and a section of players being less than sad when he left.. It could well be the case that Winks was being a **** but I'm just wondering if there is a reason we have decided that it DEFINATELY falls on him and not a manager that has shown that he isn't exactly competent.

Wellens vs Leicester next year maybe?
