At least the kids are running off now. A few years ago, some youth knocked at my dad's door and just nonchalantly walked back up the garden path sticking the V and giving my dad a mouthful.

There's a painting of a saxophonist hanging in one of the corridors in Glenfield Hospital. I've often stopped to admire it. Perhaps not technically brilliant but something about it really holds my attention. Cannot find online so unable to link here unfortunately.

Can you get into the roof space above where the wall is? That might give a clue.

Is it an outside wall? If its an internal one, what's on the otherside or are there water pipes running inside the stud walling? I assume you've ruled out condensation?
