  1. A great and surprisingly comfortable win. I did find it weird that at 3-0 up with 10-15 minutes to go Rodgers left Teilemans on and didn't bring on Amartey who's getting back from a serious injury. Seems like the perfect time to rest a key player and give game time and fitness to somebody needing it.
  2. Ward Justin Morgan Benkovic Fuchs Mendy Praet Choudary Perez Iheanacho Albrighton Jakupovic, Evans, Ricardo, Leshabela, Dewsbury-Hall, Vardy, Barnes
  3. Ah fair enough. Thanks for the info. 13cm would be quite a big error. Let's hope that's just paper talk.
  4. Has there? It is a genuine report or some questionable journalism? I couldn't find it with a quick search
  5. I don't understand peoples complains with the marginal offside calls. The rules are clear with offside, it doesn't matter if it's a centimeter or a meter
  6. I'll be happy with any points leaving Stamford Bridge I hope Madison is not on the wing. He's so much worse there
  7. Whilst I agree that he is a CB and we have never seen him play there, I don't see him having the quality to get any game time there either. He should go on loan somewhere.
  8. Last summer I thought we purchases Benkovic and Soyuncu because we predicted Maguire leaving. Personally I think a central defense quartet of Morgan, Evans, Benkovic and Sotuncu is good and well balanced. Plus Hughes, Knight, Pascanu and Johnson from the U23's. I think we have to many centre backs personally. Edit: totally forgot about Amartey as well
  9. He's on a big wage from when we handed out big new contracts a few years ago. I doub't he will want a pay cut, so he'll probably take the money for a final year. He's also quite old for teams to want to buy out of quite a big contract. I don't say this to be disrespectful, he is a club legend. It's just probably what is happening.
  10. I would have said the same about Jose Mourinho before. Similar characters, yet clearly that didn't work. I don't think fear gets the best out of them.
  11. Sure but we would be asking different things from him than in the double pivot at Southampton. From what I saw Hasenhüttl likes a defensive duo in there. Romeu and Højbjerg fit that mold better. You make a good point but every signing is really based on 'if' they can do something. 'If' a young player has the potential to develop, 'If' a superstar has still got it and will be able to adapt to a new way of doing things etc
  12. If we persist with the holding midfielder and two in front of him, then he could be a very effective player next to Tielemans and in front of Ndidi. Both he and Teilemans are good progressive passers and good dribblers whilst being okay defenders but being helped massively by Ndidi. Then again I think Maddison could adapt to the 8 role
  13. We need to shift some players on if possible. We have a lot of fringe players and a large squad. King, James etc
  14. I think people think he had a great world cup because he scored two late goals. But when it came to defending, Sanchez was far better and held the Colombian defense together
  15. I think if we get a decent offer we should sell. We have a few players below him, Benkovic, Söyüncü, (and even possibly Josh Kinight/Sam Hughes) who are likely ready to take the step up. Or at least statistically at least one of them probably is. His stock is high, now is time to sell our asset.
  16. I wouldn't be so sure. Spurs current midfield pivot is their weakest area; Sissoko, Wanyama, Dier, Winks and sometimes Erikson is pulled back. So I'd say Tielemans would be an upgrade on everyone bar Erikson, but who isn't naturally a deep player. As for ManU, they are losing Ander Herrera and possibly Pogba whilst Matic is aging. That would leave them with McTominay, Fred and Pereira. Clearly they are going to want to rebuild their midfield. Tielemans is young, unfavoured at his club and now has proven himself in this country. I think he would probably go straight into either side.
  17. Ah. Well I ****ed that up!
  18. Yohan Benalouane has scored for Nottingham Forest against Derby. Currently 1-0 Can't remember if it is a loan or permanent
  19. Leicester City trialist unlikely to sign despite impressive performances https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-ali-reghba-trialist-2519255
  20. Ughelumba sent off. Tripped a guy who was 1v1 with the keeper. He hasn't looked comfortable at center back, very much a left back. Blackburn score the freekick 2-0
  21. Darnell Johnson, the US3's captain, has joined Hibernian on loan
  22. Any of the other players going on loan?
