I'd be very surprised if he plays any of the development squad for the rest of the season as he is fighting for his job. Bar Choudary from the bench.

Who should be the next Leicester City manager?
Spicer replied to Sharpe's Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
How about Slavisa Jokanovic if Fulham don't get promoted? He got Watford promoted, and has a good chance of getting Fulham up whilst playing pretty good football. -
How about Ross Barkley? Hasn't played at all for Chelsea, if their new manager isn't keen on him, like Conte, then he may be attainable.

Who should we sign (asset strip) from relegated clubs
Spicer replied to On our way...'s topic in Transfer Talk
Gibbs or Bertrand. -
You do make a good point, that reputation has come along for a reason. He does show nice passes or touches but are straight away followed by mistakes. Currently he has no consistency.
-
He's just not that good. Iborra and even James were ahead in the pecking order for a reason it transpires.
-
We play so slowly with no creativity.

Who do you think will win the World Cup?
Spicer replied to Stadt's topic in General Football and Sport
Since next season has a thread already. Thought I'd make the world cup one. Who do you all fancy? Personally I think Belgium, if they can stop under achieving. -
Eddie Howe?

It will be interesting to see what team Southampton play, the league is the priority, but they have a semi-final. We've been saying for weeks that Dragovic should play. However I'd put my money on Morgan and Simpson starting.

Meh. Some nice passes but some bad as well. I'm not sold at all yet.

Burnley Away 14/04/2018 - Pre-Match Discussion

I expect to lose. Hope I'm wrong. Kasper Simpson(Unless Amartey is fit) Dragovic Maguire Chillwell Mahrez Choudary Silva Albrighton Okazaki Vardy -
No player should be un-dropable because they happen to be the Captain. ManU's club captain is Carrick, has rarely played this season. Across the road at the Tigers the Captain is Tom Youngs, a couple of months into the season they signed the Australian international hooker, Polota-Nau, who has become the first choice, with Young's on the bench.

He was probably our best player yesterday. But I think people are getting to hyped up about him. Defensively good and worked hard. But Newcastle played very deep in the second half so he had a lot of time on the ball with no pressure put on him. Hard to gauge his quality. I think we should play 3 in midfield next week as Silva and Choundary has little presence. (Ndidi is suspended for another isn't he?)
-
Poor bastard. With Ndidi suspended it looks like Silva and Iborra will start in the centre. With Choudhury on the bench

After 30 minutes Arsenal are 3-1 up. Musa has been the Russian teams best player, actually is playing well so far.
-
For the right price and wages I'd say it was worth a shot. He clearly has talent, he needs to get fit and stay fit. When Zaha left United people said his career was effectively over and he has reinvigorated his career. I won't be so quick to right him off. As for a right back, Darmain anyone?
-
Mario Kart. But be prepared for divorce if to many blue shells or banana skins are used on the other.
-
Change back to a back 4. It went downhill when Amartey went off.

Matty James is a good player in what he does. He defends well and keeps the ball moving accurately. He's quite a simple player, he has never been and never will be creative, he allows for the players in front of him freedom to play. Yesterday none of our attacking players played well and James is getting abuse for it. In defense Ndidi gave the ball away that led straight to the goal, yet nobody mentions him. James hardly put a foot wrong, yet the best player on the pitch yesterday gets blamed. People are predisposed to blame him. Whether we should have 2 defensive central midfielders with no creativity at home to Stoke is another matter.
-
Just curious on peoples opinion. Mahrez will likely leave this summer. We have played Simpson/Amartey historically at right back as having Mahrez in front of them meant they don't have much defensive help and they both are defensively inclined are rarely venture forward. With Mahrez leaving a new winger on the right will emerge who probably will do more defensivly (Gray, Diabate or a new signing). That means we could possibly afford a more expansive RB. Albrighton played there today and I thought was better there than when on he wing today. Most full backs who are good going forward are at top clubs and are expensive. We might have a ready made player, providing he can defend to the required level. Thoughts?
-
Frustrating. A game we largely dominated but we were sloppy in the attacking third and wasted many chances. I don't understand the Matty James hate. He was good today, he and Ndidi largely controlled the midfield against 3 players. I'm not saying he's better than Iborra or Silva, but he played well. We play more out from the back, so I don't get why Morgan played instead of Dragovic who is way more composed on the ball. Lets keep this in perspective, we drew with Stoke and should of won. Not the end of the world as it's being made out to be.
-
He might get a chance especially as Fuchs's contract is running down. He seems to be in the Simpson/Amartey mold where they are good defenders but not so much at going forward and supporting the attack.
-
Wigan's right back Nathan Byrne was immense
-
Elder played all 90 minutes of Wigan's 1-0 victory over Man City. He was solid in defense and handled Bernardo Silva, Danilo (first half) and Walker (second half) well. He wasn't great on the ball and isn't particularly mobile, but he handled Man City better than Fuchs or Chillwell ironically.
