  1. Any news from any ITKs on Ziyech? Or Martins? Or Roberts? Or Evans? Or Dragovic? Asking for a friend...
  2. “Done deal” is a bit more emphatic than the usual. It either is or isn’t. Time will tell, but if he doesn’t now sign it’ll look an unwise thing to have said, won’t it?
  3. Two-footed, assists, scores, takes set pieces, tackles back...could be a player!

  5. For any fan over 30 some of the comments about Riyad on here are risible. He's a genius and we're lucky to have had him. When will we next have a POTY?!? I do wonder what next? Vardy's not trying, never rated him anyway?
  6. One last season to show that he can do what we know he can do, when it counts, and consistently...
  7. ooops, wrong thread!
  8. He's irreplaceable. So don't replace him - change the system. 352, 3412 & 433 could all work for us next season, importantly, allowing Vardy and Iheanacho to play together. The former could look like: Schmeichel Dragovic Evans Maguire Perreira Silva Ndidi Loftus-Cheek Chilwell Vardy Iheanacho In a 3412, Gray could play free behind the strikers, or alongside them in 433.

  10. Fair bit of noise on Twitter linking us with Ziyech at €40m (@volatile vardy). Surely destined for bigger clubs than us? Could be that statement signing...?
  11. So, any news concerning the possible signing of Evans?
  12. Just say no..
  13. Where’s Jonny?
  14. Agree, me too but really really want both. With Harry you’d then have a top 6/top 8 back three if you wanted to play that way, or two top CBs in a four with another on the bench. Wes, sadly is just past his ‘best before’ date but could serve another season playing occasionally as fourth choice. I’d like to see Benny paid off too and Amartey & Hughes providing further depth in that position
  15. He is that good. And four years younger than Wes.
  16. From another angle, the interest in Evans & Dragovic suggest to me it’s unlikely we’re in for Ben Gibson. Dodging a bullet there...
  17. Evans, Allen, and Dawson (I know, and it's not a misspelling of Mawson)
  18. We're shit, drain the swamp - no, hold on, we're pretty good actually...
  19. Benitez would be an almost guaranteed game changer. Thanks to the Macia connection and probably a bigger budget than he’ll get at Newcastle, you never know? Unai Emery another great shout, but might find the delights of Leicester a tad hard sell for Mrs Emery. Wouldnt be unhappy with Marco Silva or David Wagner, but I’d hope we can do better..
  20. I can't defend him any longer. I think I've only been doing so until recently because he (a) he has a decent second-season record and (b) I don't want our club to get a reputation of being trigger happy with its managers. But how anyone can think he's the man to trust with our future and a £100M+ transfer kitty in the summer after the last two non-performances beats me. Most on here seem to agree that the problems at the club run deep, and the dressing room needs a major clear-out. I don't know who all the poor characters are but based on performances/injuries/mardiness we need to ship out: Hamer, Jakupovic Simpson, Morgan, Benalouane, Huth King, James, Mendy Mahrez Musa, Slimani & Ulloa For me the jury's still out on Iborra, Chilwell, Gray, Silva & Iheanacho, though I'd listen to offers for all of them. We need a strong manger with a clear vision to oversee what will be our busiest summer ever and our most important since the debacle of 2016. I've tried, but I just can't see Puel moving on the deadwood, still less attracting the players we'll need to compete for a top 8-10 place.
  21. Dragovic and Vardy the best of a poor bunch. Surely we sign Drago permanently? Thought Silva was our best/least outclassed midfielder and thought he must have been injured when he didn't come out for the second half! Chilwell looked overawed and did almost nothing well; he probably wasn't helped by Kasper's unvaried tactic of kicking long in his direction so Walker could show how much stronger and better a player he is. Kasper's worst game for us in terms of distribution and decision-making. James looked like a league one player. Both he and Chilly need a break from the first team, as does Diabate, before his confidence goes.. Everyone but Claude (in whom I have faith) can see the case for starting with Ndidi, Iborra and Silva...hopefully on Friday?!?
  22. I guess we now know how Watford fans felt as their promising season fell apart after the unwanted approach for their manager from Everton. We, and Riyad, are distracted when we should be focussed on preparation for Everton away tomorrow. We don't get to play our best player, who now, it seems, could have played on Saturday, allowing us to rest Gray and Albrighton. However you look at it, it's wrong.
  23. £60M wouldn't buy you Harry Maguire now. Why sell a genius, a difference maker for small change? Why would we?
  24. Just realised 'Stevey boy' is me. Thank you, er, Armey. That's the trouble with noms de plume...!
