Leeds United (A) 3-1 - Post-Match Thread

XG is a pile of steaming crap. It doesn't take account of times when a better final ball would have made a goal a virtual certainty and there's an assumption that a high XG will pay off eventually when it's just as likely you'll stop creating so many chances. -
There's a lot of people on here that can't deal with disappointment in any measure...... it's bloody embarrassing. We were pretty good last night but for poor officiating, dreadful finishing and 2 deflected goals, we'd have been runaway winners. We bounced back from the 2 November defeats and we'll do it again. 12 games left, 11 against teams we've already beaten.

Birmingham and Cardiff will join the party if we win tonight. -
I think the rewards of victory outweigh the damage of defeat. Go and give 'em hell boys!

If Hume had scored the free header against Stoke? Blessing in disguise maybe?

That’s understandable from a neutral’s perspective, the title race will be all but over in their eyes if we win. There’s been plenty of times we’ve been the media darling over the last decade.

If we win we'll be 3 wins less with 12 games to go. -

I'm afraid decades of vitriol towards match officials has predictably led to a reduction in the talent pool. We've got exactly what we deserve. I would genuinely like to see a pundit or manager ref a National League dead rubber at the end of a season and maybe an interactive programme on TV where we can ref a game at home. -

Refs tend to get noticed when they make mistakes or there are borderline decisions. The former is human and the latter unavoidable. There are plenty on here who were "in line", "2 rows back" or sat on the match ball, who clearly saw the ball hit the player's hand when it in fact hit his chest. -

What are we comparing the standard of refereeing to? They get criticized/abused at all levels all over the world. -

Another 6 are in our sights this week: Watford Bristol City Birmingham Cardiff Plymouth Blackburn -
B+, good content but formatting is all over the place, spaces after commas please, and a lot of errant capital letters.
-
Better than that, out of the 92, we have the highest PPG, highest goals scored and 3rd lowest concede despite playing 8 games more.
-
Watford, Cardiff, Plymouth, Swansea and Birmingham are all in danger of joining the list within a week.
-
Southampton have still got to play 9 of the current top half, Us 8, Leeds and Ipswich both 6.

The last day would be fvcking mental! -
It all changes in the summer assuming we go up.
-
Our record against the current bottom 16 teams is P22 W20 D1 L1, that's bloody ridiculous!

1.5 per game will leave us on 99 points which would most probably be sufficient. -
Or the earliest we won't be able to get automatic promotion mathematically which will be after Birmingham if we lose our next 10 and Southampton and Leeds win all theirs.
-
We definitely can't finish below 17th and I imagine it would be higher than that already. Only 2 of the teams between 15th and 21st can catch us but it could be any 2.
-
Because of the games the teams from 15th to 21st have against each other I think only 2 can catch us so 17th would be our lowest possible finish.
-
We're 5000/1 to finish below 6th! ⚡️⚡️

Good post IMO,. I was replying to a post about having a time keeper that couldn't be done at grassroots btw.
