Well ideally I'd like the club to be better at transfers but that aside, the two January's we failed to strengthen when going for the top 4, we had yet to feel the effects of PSR and nor was it a problem for any club back then. Funny you should mention January 2016. We forget that the failure to recruit a striker didn't backfire as we went on to win the league but it was the first signs of how indecisive we are mid season. Our failure to strengthen in January 2020 and again in the winter window in 2021 when finely poised to break in to the top 4 again will forever haunt us but it also casts doubts against the view that it's only been in recent years we've made a mess of things.
