  1. Been captain of most his age groups with England, us failing to drum up interest is on us as much as anything else. It's an art that once the reputation is set, makes the job much easier to get loan moved arranged.
  2. Yesh, can see why it might need to be a loan with obligation rather than a loan with an option, reason being the latter will often incur a sizeable loam fee to cover the other clubs amortised value for the year of the player or a replacement which is often no different to buying the player outright in PSR terms. With an obligation though we can agree a very small loan feel that barely registers for PSR for this year and then load it in to the permanent transfer from the year after.
  3. Hahahahahahahahaa that's like quoting every current player in our squad that we've signed at some point under the bracket of " new signings ". 7 academy players, of which Choudhury, Thomas and Iversen are all in their mid twenties and/or been established and around for years. McAteer is also established here, so this argument is extremely weak.
  4. Cooper had him at Swansea, I really thought we'd be in for him this summer too.
  5. Looks like Southampton are getting Yuri Alberto from Corinthians. I'd have been happy if we took a punt on him.
  6. Yeah I don't think he's had it easy here. Seem to recall him spending a few periods away from the club. I'm convinced he's got a real future in the game and I really hoped he'd make it here. I'd have loved us to sign Taylor in the hope both prospered with us haha. We best have a big sell on clause in this deal. All the best Zach
  7. Great stuff. Let's hope 5 or 6 more follow suit before the end of Friday.
  8. Haha just know that how much folk picked up on Tielemans lack of pace at this level would be just as evident with Sara.
  9. Only saving grace is he's extremely slow which may or may not been a limitation for us that we couldn't deal with. Everything else in his game would have been an improvement to us.
  10. Quite clear to see both his first touch and ability on the ball is very basic. Whether that prevents him from being good enough at this level remains to be seen. He doesn't suit a team that would be expected to play out from the back, put it that way.
  11. Monica Kaminski. I DID NOT HAVE TRANSFER DISCUSSIONS WITH THAT GOALIE
  12. I've made peace with he needs to go on loan. If he doesn't then there's still the chance he works his way in to being an option as he's good enough to be an impact sub. But I think for player and fans a loan would be hugely beneficial. We get to track him week in, week out which is one of the perks of loaning out players and seeing them develop but more importantly he will learn how to become the influential player. He's got unlimited potential but there's one thing I immediately spot can and will improve with confidence, verve and experience of being the creative influence and that is his positioning in the final third where the anticipation of the ball is going to come in to. Once that sharpens up it's going to be very unpleasant for opposition defences. Robert Huth needs to be prioritising this over any other business this week.
  13. We are likely to need to flip some players for a big profit again. This is going to be one of the biggest net spends in a transfer window for many a year whilst we're still trying to navigate financial restraints. Looking through our squad it's not blessed with obvious assets that we'd see £20-40m + profits on. That's why I chunter on and on and on about our game plan.
  14. I still can't help but root for him. There's a solid player in there somewhere but think it was easier to carry him when we were a top 8 PL side than the struggles we'll now face. Tricky one. Both him and Kristiansen suit being a stay at home left back in Cooper's system and then push Ricardo or Justin up.
  15. El Khannouss El Khannouss (get loose get loose)
  16. Thought that Luke Thomas looked steady
  17. How would you go about developing academy players then?
  18. I'll give credit where credits due. Ayew has looked far better than Mavididi or amateur so far tonight. Ndidi is showing why he's extremely erratic in advanced areas but I like how quick Skipp turns on the ball. He has an excellent 1st touch which isn't something many of our squad do. Okoli nutmegged himself which I enjoyed.
  19. Any ideas where Jake Evans is? Injured?
  20. Don't do it to yourself mate. I've already stopped watching Steve Cooper's Leicester.
  21. Got a feeling Ayew is pur striker and once El Khannouss is in it's highly unlikely we bring anymore players in.
  22. Cooper must be doing this deliberately now. Not seen anything like this since Micky Adams.
  23. Disappointing Richards hasn't been included, I'd argue he's put himself in a position to be ahead of Popov but pleaded for Chris at the same time as he's got something about him. I won't even give Steve Cooper the satisfaction in how that midfield trio has made me feel. I really hope Alves gets a loan move because those comments from Cooper on Alves are so patronising if not. Can't even be brave enough to play him from the start against such opposition.
  24. I've got the two bob faesens
