Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

How does the PL2 standings work this season? There's 26 teams and yet every team only played 20 games. Also we had 2 games abandoned that I don't think were replayed, any ideas why? -
I wonder what his salary is going back to the PL. I suspect it's higher than the going rate Brighton, Brentford, Fulham etc pay. Not to mention the new PSR rules coming in at some point that surely ends up lowering salaries offered from mid table PL clubs.

Who do you want for next season in the PL

I've been championing Harrison Burrows for a few months now. Contract up this summer and got a similar profile as Leif Davis had last season. I'd take a chance on him. -
Hopefully we get Jersey on to belt out When You're Smiling.

Hahahaa same mate π

Hahahahaa yes. That might explain a big bruise I have on my side π

Finds space in the box a lot! Thats something very beneficial to have in a player. Not sure what happens to him and whether he is part of the squad next season but he's contributed this season. Think he's better as an 8 but we've only seen that a few times so it's still to be proven.

Never ever seen or heard anything like it, I'm in ruins. Phenomenal.

Like this. Trai Hume will be a priority IMO. -
We'd need to have breached PSR for 23/24 for that to even be a possibility. We've 2 months to raise whatever amount we need to comply. Who knows.

Be there about 9.55am pal

I've learnt my lesson the hard way doing an away do to Preston. I'll just take it steady with 10-15. -

Who do you want for next season in the PL

It's going to come down that is with the new rules, well it is for around 60-70% of clubs. We need to treat ourselves as newly promoted as we are, and promoted sides should not be throwing more than Β£50k a week at players in their 1st season. -
Yes they may, and ordinarily you'd think we'd be more capable of getting him but maybe not.

It'll be interesting as the new rules kick in for 24/25 so it'll be easier to comply in the short term if we've done a great job shifting the high earners such as Daka, Soumare and possibly even Ricardo and Justin. I think we'll need to start inserting relegation clauses for very reasonable fees if we do end up coming straight back down, as well as the usual wage cut clauses. I've a fear we've still offered Winks and Coady stupid money and even if the above lot go there'll be disparity between their wages and what we need to start offering players for their 1st contract when signing for us (max Β£50k a week in the Prem) -

I don't mind that part, it was the retained list and signings thst I'm not keen on mate. Think we can afford to be a but more ambitious but it'll be a difficult balance to find. -

Sorry but this is absolutely hideous πππ -
I think we'll try and move all high earner on where we can. Players with very little/no book value like Ricardo and Justin could be moved on for small fees just to get the wages off the books.

Yeah I view him as an AkgΓΌn type attacking midfielder who you deploy where the game requires you to but he's got far more pace and strength to play against most opposition.
