  2. It's not £17m anyway, it's €17m which is about £14.5m. There's a running theme that Maresca's team are questionable in front of goal and he's not yet got a track record of improving players in this regard but if Fatawu can be coached to start scoring then he will be an excellent player. He's already very creative and defensively strong.
  3. Yes you're correct, MK Dons was Alves wasn't it. He then got injured the very next day in the FA Youth Cup.
  4. Best player on the pitch most U21 games pre and post his injury, when he did come on vs MK Dons in the League Cup just before his injury under Rodgers he effortlessly slotted in. He could easily have played it safe but he was demanding the ball and playing that deep lying midfield role that would suit Enzo's system. I think he's ready.
  5. Certainly not been the leader we've needed through our tough spell but then his footballing background hasn't enabled him to experience that very often. Seems a shadow of himself since his gaffe at Watford. Overall he's had a superb season but need him to step it up these last three games.
  6. Preferably Huddersfield win next week so they can still stay up with a win away at Ipswich on the final day.
  7. Yes, he was ready under Rodgers. Injury has delayed it but he is ready ability wise. Just hope he stays injury free. Pre-season will be a crucial time for him to be ready.
  8. Braybrooke will challenge him for a place next season.
  9. What's Brussell had to say?
  10. You can't launch a serious promotion campaign without 5 senior goalkeepers.
  11. Bang on. Guess who represents Oscar Garcia who's gone to Leuven and been linked to us in the past? Wasserman. He will likely be the main candidate to replace Enzo, it is not the sign of a well ran club is it.
  12. Pure profit too. There rumour was we rejected £4m from Palace for him, which was 75% of the fee we paid to his Danish superior who's 3 years younger than him. It's madness but I'm not surprised.
  13. I also anticipated a poor run, I thought we'd struggle more at the start and grow as the season went on and they learnt Enzo's methods. It's been the opposite and seem to be getting worse, which is a worry as that could be the cause of a multitude of things. Hopefully it's just an unusual poor stretch that's lasted far longer than it ought and we get the job done but I remain extremely skeptical.
  14. West Brom are extremely good defensively, although they've become a little lax in that regard in recent weeks.
  15. Well I for one am shocked.
  16. There was that unusual Mirror article that was written by their deputy editor Darren Lewis that he was set to be in the 1st team this season and then he wasn't seen in pre-season with the 1st team once, nor during the season from what I recall. I wondered at the time if it was agent talk and Lewis is close to either party, as was odd that a journalist that high up at the Mirror would be involved in such a story. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/leicester-ready-turn-ex-arsenal-30337314
  17. That is a fair argument at the start of the season, even though there's a chunk of this squad that won the FA Cup, played in Europe multiple times etc. They've also shown they can underperform. However, breaking 100 points when we'd got to 78 after 32 games is not a crazy expectation. It is diabolical that we have only put another 10 points on the board from 10 games. We're showing near relegation form from just under a quarter of the season, it's poor and there's no defending it.
  18. Vardy's goals in February-March when we were crap was incredible to be fair, it was everyone else around him I'm afraid. Zero goals from KDH and Mavididi didn't help.
  19. Interesting, Silko Thomas has had a far more effective PL2 season than him and we also have Maswanhise. At 21 you'd think any signing would be for the 1st team.
  20. Braybrooke would fit this team like a glove, I genuinely think he is already good enough to improve us let alone fill in.
  21. He's got one of the best goals to minutes ratio in the league has he not? He's certainly not under performed for the role he's played this season. I think what the stats don't tell you though are a lot of his goals came in shirt cameos off the bench where he nabbed a couple and that compensates for the starts in games where he's been less effective. Either way, he's on 16 goals from just 1,606 minutes.
  22. Quite troubling you took my post seriously. Apologies for any offence caused to the elderly, I'm knocking on a bit myself or feel like it anyway.
  23. Possibly, but I don't think that's why he was pretty quickly demoted when Daka got back from AFCON. The thing with 3 of our 4 strikers is, they all have proven track records in a front two. Daka was obscene in a front two at Salzburg, like Haaland type form and also his best form in his 1st seaspn here was usually in a front two. Iheanacho has consistently delivered in a front 2, most notably his 19 goals in the final half of 2020/21 and Cannon played in a 2 at Preston last season where he got 8 I think it was in 20 games.
