Fascinated to see if Enzo's come up with a game plan for this that's distinctly different to our norm.
-
I agree, I'd have Ricardo as an 8 and Hamza in the inverted full back role. But I think Praet will start.
-
No problem with it if we back it up. Maybe this is the start of doing so in jeopardy games. There seems to be a running theme this week, noticed Fatawu and a few others posting on social media about having no fear etc. Go out and show it, this is the game for heroes. We are on the verge of success and how we perform and handle this next month or so will tell us everything.

I think McAteer presses better than him and has more pace which in certain games is definitely needed. Not sure he offers more physicality at all but his use of the ball is better than Kasey. Still think Yunus is the best option but won't happen.
-
Of course, but he needn't make it easier for Farke to do his team talk. I actually think the Leeds love in from everyone in the build up to this game plays more in to our favour than theirs in pressure and possible complacency, we don't need to create any outside noise ourselves. He's never ever tried to do that before, if that's the angle he wants to go down, absolutely fine but he better make sure our players thrive in such scenarios and not struggle.
-
Hmmmmm him and the players need to back this up with a result. Don't like quotes like this unless we do the business, unnecessary.
-
Ding dong draw I reckon. 2-2
-
West Ham at home was pretty big, but sadly we needed another result to go our way and arguably the reason the pressure was off.
-
There's arguably been a few others since then but it's slim pickings. This season its difficult to judge as very few games have had any jeopardy riding on them, but Friday is right up there under Maresca and it will go along way towards shedding any doubt that we are meek under him.
-
I agree with you by the way but even the Rodgers era has left us out of kilter. The 2020/21 season for example we beat every one of the big 6 at least once each and won the FA Cup. Yet we'd already got an unpalatable ability to roll over and shit it and we then saw the demise. It's so difficult to shake that, very much like it's difficult at 1-0 up or in tight games with 20 to go, not panic like mad when we're trying to play out from the back despite that being exactly what we're strong at. We need a big result on Friday and/or at home to Southampton. We have demons to lay to rest, we are owed it.

How refreshing to see a manager opt for younger players when under extreme pressure to achieve promotion. It's pretty much unheard of. What a man

It's natural to be a little fearful and concerned but some of the shit I've read the last few days is astonishing. How on earth can some of these beliefs have been formed this season? We've won 25 out of 33 games. Some of us are broken as a fan base, there's no hope.

Just had a look to see if it said and looks like a Palace player was unwell/injured. Hopes he's OK. -

Twice Alves has scored for the U21s this season only for the game to be abandoned. -

I would once he's proven he's ready (which he can't do until he's given a chance). At the very least I think he will start vs Bournemouth and hopefully the rest is history. -

No chance he's going to drop one of Coady, Nelson or Doyle from the subs bench and Hamza is also needed. Unfortunately he's competing with Akgün and McAteer for a spot. -

Who's Petty playing up front this time then? Defensive midfielder Oli Ewing? Good to see Alves amongst the goals, its only a matter of time surely. -
Not strengthening the team in January

We knew Ndidi was going to be out for the majority of the season (other than Wilf himself who thought he was back after 2 weeks). We lost Casadei too. Our midfield is unquestionably weaker and we've always had a distinct lack of reliable back up out wide. But we have overspent last summer / got our maths wrong. It's about time the January transfer window doesn't cost us. Please get it over the line Leicester. -

To have a metal plate removed from a previous operation, he was scheduled to have it done at the end of the season if he'd come to us.- 152 replies

0-0 after an hour would suit us.

At what point in the pressure cooker of a season does the signing of Conor Coady get utilised? I'm looking for characters to step up down the stretch and we've not really been in the muck and bullets much and come out of big game battles as victors. This is a huge week for us. -

They fcuk me off, they've been pretty nondescript both times we've played them and they've come in here riddled with injuries having not won in 8 games. I don't know how we found it so troublesome, but suppose it's fine margins. Today was without doubt the worst game I've seen Faes and Vestergaard have to face in being out of position, reminded me of last season under Brendan and that hopeless scampering from Amartey and Faes. -

1st time in 14 matches we've not scored first in a game. You look at most of those games and we've had so many chances we've missed but not really been punished, today was the day. To have 25 shots and only 2 on target is an absolute howler. We were all over the place and I did think 2nd half vs Sheffield Wednesday that perhaps we're starting to see us drop off for a short while. Its hard to maintain the relentless high standards, especially when we don't have strong alternative options out wide or in central midfield. Mavididi, Fatawu, KDH, Praet and Winks were poor today and James Justin was a liability on the ball. Now we see what we're made of. I hope they are hurting after today but channel it in the right way, let's not let another team do the double over us. This is an opportunity to all but answer any remaining doubts about our credentials. Show no mercy. -
Agreed he was much better, I'd play him as an 8 vs Leeds.
-
It's a curious one, the psychology does change ever so slightly. We've not been a team that's been written off much yet, nor have Leeds really been a team that's very close to positioning themselves as strong favourites to clinch promotion. That's now becoming a near certainty and it could get to them. Farke though is a very astute manager in situations like this at this level, but we owe his team one for sure.
