I know the likes of Japan and South Korea are no way alike to Thailand bar being in the vicinity of South East Asia but it still surprises me there's been no natural vested interest in the best leagues of that region which is notorious for finding value and players settling well in English leagues.

Over 4-5 years it's only £500-750k in amortisation so not really a major outlay for Championship clubs, even crap ones. Only extremely badly run clubs like us due to obscene wages cannot pay for players currently.
