We find ourselves under real pressure as we've got minimal track record in operating in the markets we need to find massive value like other shrewd Championship clubs. We need to be scouring the lower leagues and the world for players under a few million, often under a million. I can't stop giggling at the thought of Glover and his team being able to do that. Should have been targeting the leagues that run to the winter and contracts expired at the end of December but of course that would be far too strategic for us.

I certainly wouldn't recommend my judgement, but neither would I recommend Marti's. You should reserve judgement and look for evidence on whether the decision making is sensible or not. He had a howler with Nelson and admitted as such, that there were some academy players who deserved minutes but he'd got too many senior players he had to play when available. Whiffy that is. -

Yes, in excess of 10-15 times. We dont have to accept his judgements as he's already proven to have made errors. See Nelson as the biggest example. I no longer gamble, but I am certain that Jake Evans will have a much better career than Silko Thomas as well. -

@ramadaone suggested his all round game is not there yet, which is why he is still in the U18s. But that level is clearly far too easy for him, like it was last season and I don't see how that helps polish the rest of his game. Surely that needs to be by being tested at better levels. -
His confidence is growing rapidly, you could see glimpses of the massive ability at the start of the season but his recent cameos in the league and today it's clear we have a major talent on our hands. Fingers crossed it pans out the way we hope. Same with Monga, Evans, Motsi and a few others. Great to see

Hutchinson definitely should be in the U21s but people forget what Evans was doing at 16 in the U21s last season. He scored and assisted similar to Nwaneri at the same age and no other 16/17 year old has got close to those numbers in recent years. Doesn't guarantee they're ready for first team but i'm very surprised he's getting less 1st team football at a lower level under Cifuentes than he was a year ago under Ruud. Baffling. -

They will hammer us. 4 nil down at half time. -
Alves for two thirds of his time at Cardiff last season was actually very good, at the level we are playing currently. I watched a lot of their games and he was usually better off thr bench where he had a few games he changed the game with his assists.

Someone ask me whether i'd take a 10 nil defeat to these arseholes if it meant Top sold up and Rudkin and Cifuentes went. -

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

Yet again, this is somewhat wide of the mark. We didn't win trophies by having a punt and going for broke. We won trophies and then financially stretched ourselves moving away from the things that put us in the strong position we'd gotten to, believing we had to floor it in order to kick on. It may seem that the only way ambitious clubs can compete with the greedy six is to go for it, but as recently as last season Crystal Palace won a major trophy by just being fairly cleverly ran with people who know football off the pitch and a decent manager and set of players that they are shrewd in the transfer market with. -

Motsi is ridiculous, think we probably need to be patient though. Physically at the same age Monga was evidently stronger and is probably why he's been 1st team material for a year now. Might need to wait a bit longer but he looks frightening. -

We were fortunate in many ways for many years in what we had built, we didn't need to be proactive in the short term but the longer it went on, being too slow to react cost us and I look back and am staggered how we did what we did. None of it was a fluke but I do not accept we had the necessary senior individuals off the pitch to sustain what we did. This is not a case of they did well and then they didn't and deserve a chance to bring the good times again. In my opinion it is, they benefitted massively from a unique set of circumstances and a foundation built by Pearson, Shakespeare, Walsh and Balsom and a generational talent in Vardy and never actually knew what they were doing. -

Yeah, I never drink that much. In a half marathon I drink probably a 500ml Lucozade Sport and a few mouthfuls of water over 1hr 45. Bottom line my stomach won't accept more than 4-5 gels in 4 hours running. I have bowel disease and that ain't happening. I need to work out how to get carbs and electrolytes in without a) drinking like a camel and b) eating like a 7 month old. This might not be the game for me 😂 -

The fact we won things was not because we necessarily did anything differently when it comes to buying low and selling high and being innovative. Thats exactly what we did post the title win and at the time we thought we were absolutely killing it. Our problems came from moving away from that logic and thinking we could survive financially by increasing our wage bill to more than our revenue and have an inability to move players on bar the obvious few who we could get decent money for. Despite our unrivalled success, off rhe field we did not grow like we ought to have both commercially and in talent who could lead us to expand in the manner we had the opportunity to do. I read this response a lot, that well ran clubs like Brighton, Brentford etc are short changed because they've not won anything. What we did is extraordinary and should have been the foundations to build a dynasty that would be talked about for decades to come and yet WE fcuked it. We are the embarrassment, not them lot. We as fans have the comfort of experiencing the title win and the FA Cup which I would never sully the significance of but I also am beyond angry at the opportunity we had and royally fcuked it. -

I've started to obsess over fuelling and fluids now i'm stepping up to marathon and beyond distances. I think in the past for most of my running I've not taken enough on and probably get away with it but i'm conscious of the volume of mileage in the training block means i'll need to be better in the lead up and then on the day over 4 hours of running. What do folk do for training runs for 2-3 hour runs and then for the marathon itself? Looking at it, I think it's at least 500ml of water every hour with electrolytes, will throw in a Lucozade Sport as well and then somewhere between 30-50g of carbs and hour which is going to be mainly gels (that I fcukin hate) -

Evans either injured then or with the first team. The former would explain why he's not been in the 1st team squad for a few weeks now. -
Was not aware he was a boyhood Leicester fan as he comes from Northampton and a fair chunk of our academy players seemingly don't support us so this just about makes him perfect. Massive talent. Sign that new deal Ben 🙏🙏🙏

Yeah that seems to be the case

Thats an obscene free transfer hahahaa. Amazing how many clubs manage to take advantage of their links to other clubs and leagues and yet we if anything seem to have a hindrance from anything in Belgium. Watford a decent shout for the playoffs if they don't lose their heads.
