Castledine is one to keep an eye on. I tipped him as a player for us to sign a year or two ago as he was one of the best PL2 performing players but was not getting any recognition from Chelsea. He should have been the one we got in the KDH deal and not Golding.

Hopefully but I am not convinced he's anywhere near as effective in midfield as he is out wide and they now play wing backs.

He can't go on loan elsewhere as played for us before going on loan to Huddersfield, unless League Cup doesn't count?

No League One side the agent could have got him? Would have been better off staying with us as our midfield options are beyond horrible. Hopefully Golding and Briggs get loaned to Newport this month.

I am very uncomfortable about what happens to the loans we have had from that Aussie bank, it would appear on the face of it that a huge chunk of our future income is committed to that. Does not sound great if we don't go up (which we won't).

A lot of our problems are diminishing the talents of the very few half decent players we have and he is a victim of that. It was clear under Enzo that whilst he's a maverick, he actually needs structure in the team for him not to toil. He will still utilise his unpredictability but as we have seen when he's just given no support he does not shine. I don't think there's any coincidence Mavididi has also been horrendous this season, Cifuentes hasn't a clue how to set a side up to attack and defend in unison. Whilst our squad has weaknesses, we are underperforming and the causation is multiple things. Our whole club is just a mess and very few players will still perform here. If he has anything about him he should get out whilst he can as he will utilise his strong defensive ability (rare for an attacking winger) with his high ceiling of creativity. Like many who have left us in the last 2-3 seasons. He will go on to far better things.

Whilst i'm a big fan of Page, Reid scores goals. He was muck tonight but we have a scant amount of players able to contribute to goals. Page deserves a start but if he can't bring goals then bar James there's not many other areas we get them from and will lose even more games than we already are.

Erm perhaps because we are highly likely to get a points deduction that puts us in the reaches of relegation, concerns over our short term, let alone long term financial future and who knows whether we complied with PSR for 24/25 and will do so for 25/26. Thats without even mentioning the worst decline of a successful PL clubs in the modern era. The doom mongering is not without justification, those that do not view it as that bad are potentially as unhelpful as those that do.

Yes, sorry I'd badly worded it. My opinion is we could actually utilise him as we gave abysmal alternatives to Skipp and James and I don't think its a risk to his progression as he ought to get 10-15 appearances here between now and May. But if Marti hasn't used him by end of Jan then get him back out on loan.

Bring him back, see how he gets on in January here and then if he's not had a sniff then loan him out to League One for the rest of the season.
