  1. Erm well we are, as we have only Ayew and Carranza. We currently have one attacking midfielder too. Thats quintessential thin.
  2. He is potentially one of, if not the most important player for us over the next month because we lose him and we are in serious trouble in putting an attacking midfielder on the pitch. You can't even really play Ayew there as Daka is off to AFCON after next week so we really are thin on the ground. I think he drops a hatty in a game this season, can just see him having one of those games where everything goes in.
  3. Competitive does not mean the standard is high though. Thats like getting 24 pot bellied lads to bollock 20 pints each and have a wrestle and then declare it a bloody good test, as 3 hours later they're all still waddling about confused with no clear winner. This is why I repeat myself constantly about getting our house in order before aspirations of going up. The gulf between the two leagues is vast, it's surprised me just how much it grew over a few years and there's little point us scrapping promotion and being so ill equipped to compete. Get that seismic change at this club, with a clear long term model and build to take a young and talented side built on one of the best academies in the country and clever scouting model and we can make massive gains again.
  4. Top work pal, love reading stuff like this.
  5. 🇪🇦
  6. Spent most of his youth career for the U16s and U18s as a winger but can see why he may stay as a striker which he seems to be used more predominantly in the U21s.
  7. We really are down to the bare bones out wide and up front.
  8. Evans hopefully gets some minutes with Daka and Monga likely out for a while across the Xmas period.
  9. Any ideas when Daka will go away with Zambia, after the QPR game?
  10. Can't be arsed. Mix of reasons. Young kids so getting to games, I probably only get to 5-10 max a season and always various shit on so i'll regularly miss watching it on Sky an'all. Also, every game i have watched in recent months we have lost and those I haven't (Sheff Utd aside) we get a result 😂😂😂
  11. I'm liking what I see, I must admit.
  12. 10km on a treadmill is character building to say the least, I love running but I just can't bring myself to run for very long on them.
  13. 10 miler done this morning, fingers crossed the foot doesn't react too badly to it.
  14. But up until recently he hasn't been serious about the purge himself to absolve himself from the problems above him or below him on the playing pitch.
  15. All on Cifuentes if we end up losing him on the cheap, stupidity.
  16. You forgetting the likely points deduction?
  17. Makes no difference if we have the option. We'd likely end up selling him anyway next summer but you'd hope for a £15m + profit.
  18. Yeah possibly, I keep convincing myself the only striker who can prosper under this system and manager is a quick striker which currently only Daka. However, he's anonymous most of the time too.
  19. Fatawu was an obligation if promoted or an option if not which we obviously held the cards on if so. Only thing that stops it is if we are that pitiful we can't raise £4m or under an embargo.
  20. Buzzing to hear Nelson was colossal, he really is a class act. Let's hope we can forget about Marti being piss weak and he now builds the team around him. Get Souttar back fully fit and hopefully get an aggressive striker in January and we'll have a bit more about us. BLUE ARMY
  21. I am of the opinion that if he goes, then get Braybrooke back and he can genuinely compete with Skipp for a spot next to James. Send Newport Logan Briggs and Tommy Neale on loan.
  22. We'll no doubt be the ones having to find him a new club in order to get him gone, which won't happen. Although like Edouard last January, maybe this time an MLS club would get a deal done. Carranza probably ready to go back.
  23. Will be interesting to see if he can get a chance and force his way in, we badly need a striker or even a viable alternative to Fatawu at times.
  24. A single shot would have been nice. Did exactly the same vs Stoke as well. That said, if he grows a backbone and does what he said he'd do with the academy players who's attitude and application will at least give us something to identify with then let's hope he can at least steady the ship here but remain unconvinced.
  25. Didnt have a single shot after we scored our 3rd goal, exactly the same as vs Stoke and is why we are nothing more than bang average at this level. Another manager who's actions are completely at odds with his words.
