Yes I was discussing this was my son-in-law who's a Leeds fan. He was saying they'll need to strengthen, and I pointed out that PSR would be closely monitored more than ever. I don't know if loans get around it to an extent. Sheffield and Burnley, (if they are the three) will go straight back down. Leeds have the best chance. You just need to try to be better than one existing PL club; Wolves; Palace. Certainly not easy.

In a way if we have to go down, it would be good if the three teams finish in the same three places as they came up. Sends a nicer PSR message. I think Forest and Everton might be the last two teams that really benefitted, (the spend on players out weighed the points deduction) before they tightened up on it all. Can't really complain as we were the last team that avoided the 10 points deduction for going into admin. scenario.

It's a good point. I still think it's possible though if you come up as a strong enough unit. I think the current Leeds side is better than Wolves.

We start again in the Championship. We clear out as much dead wood as we can. We get rid of Ruud. We take the points deduction. We field some young hungry players who want to show some pride wearing the shirt. Just got to get through the next couple of months before all that can start to happen.

I think the next game we win will be in the Championship. The side is too poor to get another win at this level.

They're not running through brick walls for him. I suspect they're not terrified of going into the dressing-room if they've not performed. Just checked 77-78 under Frank McKlintock. I always regard that as the worst top flight season I can remember. We had a six in a row and a five in a row, but not sure if there were cup games that increased those. We managed to score just 26 league goals that season. I remember the commentators joking that we'd had our name changed by deed poll to Leicester City Nil 😬. Frank demolished Jimmy Bloomfield's team and brought in a load of his old teammates. It didn't work.

I don't think it should have been a factor from day one. Martin O'Neill and Wes Morgan were ex Forest. He deserved a fair chance at the outset.

We need a safer pair of hands. RVN has no back history of successful management. It was a gamble that hasn't paid off. Notwithstanding, the quality is not there in the ream at this level, but when it is not, you need someone who can get something out of very little. Maybe a Dyche. Not sure why Everton got rid. Maybe the performances are no worse than under Cooper, but as someone said up thread, RVN isn't the right fit for us.

Hate it, but fair play to Everton. We aren't good enough to do this to Spurs. They should be up, and we are Cgampionship.
