The collective view from a number of the threads running at the moment is the players aren't good enough and neither is the manager. On that basis it's probably best if we don't go up. The way people are talking it sounds like we'd make Sheffield Utd's. current season look good in comparison to what ours would be. If people stepped back, they'd realise what they're saying is we aren't ready. We've almost lost a quarter of our games in this league. That doesn't transfer well to the Premier.

Will be very disappointed if we don't try and lift the lads on Monday. The last thing we need now is Johnny come lately boo boys, who are still clinging to, and expect Premier League title wins. Booing isn't going to help anyone. It will make things worse. The players know what they've got to do. I just hope we as fans do.

We are getting battered on X etc. Nothing to be said in response today. However, we've just got to hang in there; Enzo, players, fans. We are still very much in this notwithstanding our current form. Let's hope teams can do us a favour today, get some encouragement from that, and win on Monday.

Southampton still very much part of this. Four clubs involved. They finish what they've started today, win their game in hand, and they're just 3 points behind automatic promotion.

Bristol City 1 - 0 LCFC Post Match Thread

I disagree. A relegation battler shows some fight and passion, but they just aren't good enough. We're the exact opposite; good enough, but no fight and passion. -

Observations from today:- 1) To a man we looked lethargic. So much for a break to recharge the batteries. Bristol were much sharper. 2) We lacked leadership. It needs a Coady, or someone out there to liven them up. Not sure all this changing captain is a good idea. 3) I'm also not sure this great team spirit that was mentioned earlier in the season is there. One or two examples today of players having a pop at one another, for example the Fatawu miss. 4) Clearly lacking confidence which is driving misplaced passes and under performing generally. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Twitcher replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes because separately the EFL are looking at this year. It would be interesting if we didn't go up, and had a protracted stay in the Championship, say ten years, would the Premier League still be waiting with the points deduction? Presumably so. By the same token, the Championship would also be waiting if we had a protracted stay in the Premier, at the point we were relegated. All of which makes me think the EFL might try and rush something through for this season, so there's no hangover. They'll have to be quick though, what with appeals processes etc. I think we might sneak up without it. However if/when the inevitable happens in the future, and we go back down, that would be a double whammy. -

Yes which means a few more barren years in terms of acquisitions players/stands until this flushes through. I'm not sure how Everton can keep the stadium build going. For an industry that receives so much income, it's amazing how/why these clubs run at a loss. I think we'll move closer to a Scottish situation, and indeed a lot of European countries, where there's effectively two tiers within the one top flight league. In the Premier, other teams try to compete with the big boys. Got to start letting them go, and run the smaller clubs properly. Hopefully as the product becomes less appealing, the Premier League might look to start with a blank canvas all round. -

Really strange that those who must have been in the know, were suggesting we'd pursue legal action against Everton. If ever there was a moment to keep quiet, that was surely it. Now just more egg on face. -

How do we go from threatening to sue Everton, to being threatened with litigation ourselves? Forest had "we'd just come up" mitigation, Everton had "harsh punishment, but yeah you caught us" response. What will ours be; "we're ostriches?" -

Thanks, so when you say PSR rules, is that the same as Everton and Forest, i.e. our losses/overspend is too high? -

This thread is 45 pages long. I can't read all that! Can someone summarise what we've done wrong? Is it the same as Forest, i.e. our losses exceeded the set amount? If so, did we have any mitigation, along the same lines in terms of when we sold star players etc.? Just wondering if we also knew we'd breached versus blissfully unaware we'd breached. Both Forest and Everton seemed to accept the breach. Everton dealt with it by tackling the sentence, and Forest by having mitigation. -
FA Cup: Chelsea (A) 4-2 Post-Match Thread

Was Pearce even watching the game? Why would we be booing Disasi? Probably too busy recollecting how Palmer's uncle's, next-door neighbour's, great, great grandad ran out for Chelsea back in 1918 after coming back from the war, but only played three times for the club before a career ending injury. The latter something I wish Pearce would pick up. -
Would take a draw today.

Standard fayre from Pearce. Not sure what Keown's done wrong. Thought his comments throughout were fair, and whilst staying neutral, you could tell he wanted Leicester.
-
Knew it would happen. 3-2 would have looked so much tidier. Ffs.

Nice to have a pundit wanting us to win for a change. Martin Keown been pro Leicester all game.

It's still said by commentators but my pet hate is how they imply professional footballers stop supporting a team when they become a man..."who he supported as a boy" or "his boyhood club." It's as if because a player is playing for a different club they can't bring themselves to just say "he's a Newcastle fan" as though everyone will be horrified. On a similar vein when a player supports a particular team, they say "he'd love to score today against his boyhood club, where he used to stand on the terraces." Er no. Actually the last team he'd want to score against.
-
It was a team in upheaval, with a lot of players leaving, a lot of new players coming in. Confidence was low for those players still traumatised by Rogers' influence. The rest of the Championship teams are just making up the numbers. But you're right top of the league all season is piss poor from this group of players.

Yes many on here saying about us bottling it. My god there's some bottlers on here. An expected win for Ipswich. I've said before, after the mess of last season, where we are is hugely impressive. We'd no right to come straight back up. What Enzo has done is superb. Reading this I'd do one if I was him. Wheel Rooney in. Ffs.
-
Exactly, and light training only, or maybe skip training altogether. Some of the stuff on here. Just play your strongest team. It's the quarter finals of the FA Cup ffs.
-
Nice chart. Ipswich should be showing a red though for the Southampton game.

So all those that were saying sack it off, not interested, does that apply to the quarters? Brilliant win. I was critical of a weakened side, but we did it. Hamza and Vesty superb -

Hate to say it but I can see a Yunus or Fatawu horrible penalty miss deciding it - blazed over the bar, or a dink that goes wrong
