I had my colon removed 20 years ago and also have Crohn's disease so it sounds like I'll be on the bog for the entire 11 days

You're getting me excited We're going for 11 nights and have hired a villa with a pool which looks perfect. We booked the villa through Booking.com and flights through EasyJet so it's all a bit DIY rather than as a package with a tour operator. We haven't booked a car yet but think we probably should. I assume you'd advise us to?

It's near a place called Syracuse in the south east corner of Sicily. Have you been there/heard of it?

We're going to Sicily end of July and this is really helpful, thanks. You clearly know your stuff!

I'm sure when Lenny asked him about next season he said "I might not be here" with a slight grin/chuckle. Not sure what to read into that. Hope negotiations are happening

Could go down as an all time classic 'I was there' away end. And I'm not there

I wondered that, looks like he's got some grease on it. Wasn't hit by a coin was he?

This commentator loves our away end.

I often wonder how much NHS manager 'competence' makes a difference between hospitals. I've just had another operation at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where I've been a patient for over 20 years. Every single time I'm there, the service is outstanding. There always seems to be enough staff and they always seem happy to be there. It was no surprise to me to see JRH ranked #4 in the best UK hospital list. On the other hand, I had the misfortune of having to go to Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury (which is my nearest hospital) for an emergency last year. My experience was horrendous from start to finish and the complete opposite of what I encounter at JRH. I ended up discharging myself and getting the wife to drive me to JRH because the whole system at Stoke Mandeville looked like it had collapsed. I was amazed to see it ranked as highly as 48/121 (LRI is 117/121 ) How can there be such a difference? I assume the funding is equal/fair? Could it be down to the fact that JRH has better managers and is just better ran?

Membership to Season ticket timeline points etc.
Izzy replied to Frankel1981's topic in Ticket News and Travel
Here's a scenario and it might sound a bit stupid so forgive me... Member 1: First season as a member and been to 12 home games = 12 points. But every home game they go to, they also spend a fortune in the club shop (I've never spent a penny in there but assume you give your membership number at the till for a discount and it registers your spend?) Member 2: Been a member for four seasons and has 48 points but never spends any money in the club shop/concourse or on-line at LCFC/com Both apply for a ST next season. Could the club allocate an ST to member 1 with less points knowing they'll be big spenders at the club on-going (seeing as football these days seems to be all about money and business...), or would it automatically go to member 2 because they're 'next in line'? P.S I’m not member 1 in this scenario btw -
I'm self employed so not sure what the average company match is, but 12% sounds like an excellent benefit to me (I assumed most were around 6%) I'd say you're well ahead of the game putting a quarter of your salary into your pension at 35. Sounds like you're a man with a plan - good on ya

What Have You Enjoyed Most About This Season?
Izzy replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Without being patronizing, there's something incredibly romantic and endearing about second tier teams in pursuit of the holy grail of top flight football (or even just survival in the second tier) I loved it under Little and MON as we attempted to get into the PL after years in the wilderness and chasing that dream is about as good as it gets as a fan IMO. Massive respect to the likes of Plymouth and other proper championship clubs with real die hard supporters. I hope some of them get to be as lucky as we were in achieving the ultimate pinnacle. We really were blessed. -

I want to give a shout out to the other teams in the Championship this season. Far too often when we've lost it's been a case of how 'shit' we've been, with not much recognition given to our opponents for actually 'doing a job' on us. There's been many examples of teams home and away that have played some decent stuff at times and tactically sussed us out and frustrated us - fair play to them. I know people moan that the overall quality of the Championship is poor but in terms of overall excitement, I've quite enjoyed it and in a perverse way will miss the madness of it all.- 157 replies
