Yeah he's doing well, him and Forster 3 up with 5 to play.

The Walker Cup is always a good watch. Especially being at Cypress Point which is arguably the best course in the world. GB&I underdogs as always and rarely win it but maybe this time...

I've been following the Raiders since 1983 So like most years, absolutely shite.

Ah, I see. Pretty impressive that the stadium is full considering it's over 200 miles from Columbia to Atlanta. And there's a good number of VT fans there too and it's over 400 miles each way for them.
-
Just realised that Virginia Tech are in a different conference (ACC) to the Gamecocks (SEC) I thought colleages played against teams in the same conference? And it's being played in Atlanta for some reason. Geez this colleage fottball lark is confusing

Well yeah but if he was some average Joe, I wonder if he'd really have got the grades to do a PhD. The fact he's the leagues best QB and they want him to play forever makes me wonder if they pulled a few strings/bent the rules/inflated his scores just so they could keep him on the team. And I might be cynical and way of the mark of course

If I wasn't a life long die hard Game Cocks fan, I'd probably support Virginia Tech purely for going mental to Metallica as they come out
-
On the Netflix doc there's some QB at LSU who's 23 and in his sixth season. Apparently he's still there doing a PHD of some sorts (sounds well dodgy to me)

Some kind soul is streaming it live on YT - how kind (and probably illigal) One for the purists is this.

You don't choose the South Carolina GameCocks mate, they choose you. GO COCKS!!

I think we all have a love/hate relationship with this great game. I've only played once in over two months due to moving house and was feeling a bit over golfed anyway so needed a break. Went out on Thursday with the lads for the first time in a while with zero expectations. Shot 9 over gross playing off 9.5 h'cap and really enjoyed it. 9 pars and 9 bogies, dead steady. I think the trick was that I wasn't thinking about golf or my swing. Just catching up with the boys and enjoying the sunshine. Half the battle with golf is just getting out of our own way I reckon....

I'm assuming there's no relegation from these conferences? If a college is constantly shit and comes bottom of it's conference every year, can they be relegated and replaced with another college? Also, do colleges change conferences from time to time to mix it up a bit? With my Gamecocks example, have they always been in the SEC and will they be forever? Thanks for being our guru on this

Help me understand something here please mate... I'm now an official South Carloina Gamecocks fan having walked around their stadium and I know they're in the SEC which I think has 10 teams? But there's also other college football conferences right such as Big 10, ACC, Pac 12 etc? So how do the crown the ultimate best college team each season? Do all the seperate conference winners then play off to determine the overall champion?

Chat GPT is handy for this sort of stuff. Saved your picture as a photo then upload it to Chat GPT and ask what cars are these, year, value, rarity etc. Answers came back in a matter of seconds.

The two cars in your photo are Lotus Elite (Type 75/83) shooting brake–style sports cars, built by Lotus Cars between 1974 and 1982. Identification Left car: Earlier Lotus Elite (Type 75, built 1974–1980). Squarer rear styling, smaller bumpers. Right car: Later Lotus Elite (Type 83, built 1980–1982). Slightly revised bumpers, smoother detailing. About the model: Engine: 2.0L Lotus 907 inline-4 (later versions with 912 engine). Layout: Front-engine, rear-wheel drive, 4-seat shooting brake (estate coupe). Noted for its distinctive wedge styling by Oliver Winterbottom. Approximate age: These cars are about 43–50 years old today. Market value (2025): Values vary a lot depending on condition: Project/non-running: £5,000–£8,000 Usable driver condition: £10,000–£15,000 Well-restored / excellent: £20,000–£30,000+ They’re relatively rare, with under 3,000 made in total, so enthusiasts do prize them—but they don’t command the same money as the Lotus Esprit.

Whatever you do, don't spend a month watching dozens of guru's on YouTube and hoping that will cure it Like Bear says, go see a coach/pro and have a few lessons. They'll give you a couple of drills to practice and hopefully fix it.

That's next after the Cowboys and SEC series!

I'm probably not the best person to ask re. watching on the TV mate. I don't have Sky SO use my old mans SkyGo log in on my laptop but rarely watch live games anymore. I wouldn't know how Gamepass works - sorry. Tend to get my NFL fix from highlights on YouTube these days.
-
Not sure if you're old enough to remember the Cowboys team of the early 90's but there's another great documentary on Netflix about them. Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin and all that lot - superb. Also watching another Netflix doc on the SEC college season. I went to the Masters golf with my old man in April and we stayed in Columbia. We went to the South Carolina Gamecocks stadium to look around but it was all closed up. Can't believe these college coaches earn up to $10m a year. I didn't realise what a massive industry college football is.

Yeah, having done a bit of research I think giving it a full vac first before laying new insulation is the way to go. Bit of a ball ache but we are planning on putting quite a bit of stuff up there so I'll be glad I did. Cheers.

Our 15th with a mate who made a hole in one yesterday. Greens are good but never seen the fairways this brown.

Ripping out old loft insulation with my 77 year old man for the last two days in this renovation house we've recently bought. Absolutely sweating our nuts off. Nearly 100 sq meters of the manky stuff with old carpets and all sorts stuck down the edges. The joys of finding dead mice, birds nests, wasp nests, and general shite - disgusting. Now sweeping everything clean before laying the new stuff tomorrow. I really want to give the loft a total vacuum clean everywhere as its so dusty but is that a bit OTT do you think?

I know you don't want to hear this Deb, but the whole point of counselling is to enable you to fully break before building you back together piece by piece. It's a painful and hard but they have a process which is tried and tested (in my case Gestalt therapy) and it initially might take you to places you don't want to go. I resisted my first few sessions until I broke and then it took a few more sessions after that to mend me (I'm still not fully mended btw but I'm in a much better place now). I'd encourage you to give it a go and trust the process. It might just help x
