  1. Reminds me a bit of when Underworld did Born Slippy at Glastonbury in 2016. Similar vibe, lights, crowd etc.
  2. It's pretty amazing really how the Prodigy's music still sounds as fresh today as they did back in the early 90's. Way ahead of their time.
  3. I saw the Prodigy in 1992 at Fantazia Donnigton Park. Mad to think they're still going 30 odd years later with the same energy (RIP Keith)
  4. I'm only a tennis casual but Andy Roddick's channel popped up on my YT feed. He's a brilliant listen and if you want to hear an American absolutely drool over Wimbledon for 20 mins , watch this.
  5. Club World Cup is football's 'worst idea ever' - Klopp https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c994p92d5r1o
  6. Shed Seven still rocking it 30 years on. Love em https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002fbn5/glastonbury-shed-seven
  7. Carsley will get a decent gig after this. Fair play to him.
  8. Nob head. Another one suffering with buyers remorse
  9. Touchline interviews with substituted players and camera access to dressing rooms are set to feature in Premier League TV coverage next season. Camera operators will also be allowed to briefly enter the field of play to film close-ups of goal celebrations. Such coverage is a regular feature of sport in the United States but has rarely been seen in the UK. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c1k84zyml2no

Cheers mate. I don’t usually drink much these days but the Glenmorangie will be coming out later for sure.

    Houses

Moving day. Removal guys turned up at 7.30 and we’re now all loaded up and house pretty much clean and ready for new owners. Feeling a bit sad after 23 years here. Lots of memories.
  13. Westwood is a decent comparison tbf. Excellent tee to green but putting turns to jelly under pressure.
  14. I might forgive Tommy if he beats Bradley in the singles at Bethpage to win us the RC.
  15. Imagine earning $30m on the PGA tour without a win. I bet he’d trade a fair chunk of that for a couple of titles though. No one likes being labelled a bottle job.
  16. You heard it here first

    The Weather

You gotta love us Brits relationship with the weather - we’re never happy In a few months we’ll all be moaning about the cold and rain as the nights draw in.

    Depression

Interesting article on the beeb about the effects of cortisol and how too much of it causes stress and burnout. This is exactly what happened to me 20 years ago and I wish I knew then what I know now. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg5z6l19rv6o
  19. This is your chance Tommy lad to win your first PGA title. Still a long way to go but looking dialed in.
  20. Nice to see Scottie blade one out the bunker and end up with a triple on the first. Shows he's human after all.
  21. Cracking final here for the 130th R&A Amateur championship. 36 holes match play at Royal St Georges and going right to the wire. Tiernan of Ireland v Fang of USA. Previous winners include Garcia and Olazabel. Winner gets into the Open and invite to Augusta. Live on YT
  22. Would a Loins tour of Argentina ever happen? I imagine the three tests would draw big crowds but not sure about the provincial/regional games. Would be a hell of a place for the fans to travel over to.
  23. Regardless of the result of the assisted dying bill vote, it was nice for once to see our politicians acting like grown ups. From what I saw and heard, they debated it with the respect and diligence it deserved. Refreshing to see legislation discussed with no party political nonsense involved.

    Depression

They do, but they're only thoughts - not your reality. We have about 40,000 thoughts a day - some positive, some negative. We can't control what thoughts come into our head, be can choose which ones we give our conscious energy to. The trick (for me anyway) is to notice the negative thoughts and acknowledge them, but not give them any 'air time'. I just let them go. Then when a new empowering, positive, thought comes along (which it will), those are the one's I shine a light on. Latching on to/focusing on negative thoughts can cause a downward spiral of "What if..?" thinking (catastrophizing) and when we're tired/stressed/low on energy, these thoughts appear to be real - and then we get anxious etc. But our thoughts are not always to be trusted. We are 'living in the feeling of our thinking' - 100% of the time.
