I didn’t call you stupid I just said that this opinion is stupid. Johanson has kept 8 clean sheets in 23 this season, that’s 1 in just over 3 games, that easily equates to 10-15 pts better off. Whilst I agree as a team we’ve been a shambles all season, we’d not be a million miles away from the play offs with a decent keeper and a decent striker. We’ll see what sort of career stolarczyk goes on to have but I think you calling him an average championship keeper is way off the mark, and to be putting him in the same bracket as Iversen and Johanson is naive

It’s because your point is stupid. Iversen and Johanson are streets ahead of Stolar, putting either in ahead of Stolar would instantly improve the team. If we played the course of the season with either in net we’d have kept more than 4 clean sheets, and would be 10/15+ pts better off

It might be revisionist but I remember him being a bit of a throwback under enzo, he seemed to come out miles and claim crosses, in particular the FA cup game against Bournemouth, and reminded me honestly a bit of Petr Cech, kept quite a lot of clean sheets too. This season he’s been more like Peter Sutcliffe. Am I misremembering this majorly or has his drop off been this severe

What a shite post, surely him being the pinnacle of a bad defence he’d want to be all over it, not getting done by a long ball and sliding in to score an oggy when there’s no one around him. I was a big advocate of getting him involved earlier in the season but he absolutely hasn’t improved the defence 1 iota
