  1. Loved FNF. One of my greatest memories is seeing Frank Sinclair needlessly razz a clearance in to the Carling stand a mere 10 feet away from me. I watched in awe as the ball smashed another young lad in the face knocking his glasses flying. Frank didn’t give a shit. Glorious.
  2. Yes the speeds are a nylon plate so theyre not as rigid as full carbon. I think technically the Bostons are glass fibre or somthing like that. I like them both, though I had to change the laces and wear the right socks to get comfortable in the Bostons. Once set up they are great to run in.
  3. Got the Endorphin Speed 3 and the Adidas Boston 12 Spped 3 has a plate that i can definitely feel, maybe because the foam is softer. Boston has rods which i cant really feel, i prefer the Adidas foams and rods
  4. I don’t blame you
  5. I'd love to know what constitutes a Woke filling.
  6. Just to echo what others have said, I think a marathon would be achievable. I normally run halfs anywhere between 2hrs-2.15 I did my first marathon this spring, no pressure about times just wanted to finish. Its mainly a mental race, the training will get you used to being on our feet for the length of time. One thing I would say though is that the training is a lot to commit to and it can be all-consuming the closer to the day you get.
  7. I've just signed up for the February half as i needed another event to motivate me. I did the 10K there about 18 months ago, it is a bit boring just doing laps of the circuit and the home straight with the wind against you is a nightmare. hoping that the HM going out on to the roads will at least be something a bit more interesting.
  8. Sounds like a visit to see my grandma
  9. Not been this disinterested in a new season since last season.
  10. Finally moved in to our first home today. Picked up the keys at 1 and the seller was still there until 4 loading the van. 3 hours in the sun as a man with the complexion of skimmed milk and a turtle head like the intro to One foot in the Grave has taken the sheen off the day somewhat. But after several years of saving and disappointments we’re in at last!
  11. Rudkin reporting back to Top after being spurned by Potter again.
  12. I haven’t been this underwhelmed since going on HEX at Alton Towers.
  13. I’ve had a worrying amount of similar conversations with people recently.
  14. Reminds me of the horse names from The Day Today 😂
  15. I feel less self conscious about my own dance moves now since dear Theresa.
  16. Had this misfortune to overhear a discussion at work yesterday between one of the owners and her son. She’s voted Tory all her life absolute die hard. He has been too but this time he said he wouldn’t be voting for them. He basically said that things need a change and certainly the last 5 years have been crap. To which she responded with the old “well just wait til the other lot get in, it’ll be much worse. Tax will go up and then you’ll moan you can’t afford anything. “ Also “they had it tough during Covid, they shouldn’t have furloughed people and they aren’t to blame for mortgage rises” How bad does it have to get, how many people using food banks and the state of social services have to be for people to think outside their little box!? When I mentioned the Greens and Lib Dems she about tore the place apart. But not once did she put forward a case for how good the Conservatives are or could be.
  17. Twat
  18. Did Brighton Marathon 2 weeks ago today. Just slightly over my target time in 5hrs 13. Was so much hotter than I’ve trained in and pre race went out the window. But what a feeling crossing the finish line. I was promising myself I’d never do another as I was doing it. All the talk of London today has got me thinking of doing another. Thinking of doing the Leicester half in October to get a PB as two years ago was such a disappointment and I feel like I have unfinished business with it.
  19. Vesty has the turning circle of Sileby church
  20. Don’t calm them down let them off the bloody leash. Most threatening we’ve looked in ages.
