  1. Baffles me that they can announce things like this but not have the core answers to questions such as which exact areas and how it will be enforced. I drive from Sileby to Thurmaston 5-6 days a week for work ever since lockdown in March and I didn't get stopped or saw anyone else even when there were only a handful of cars on the road. As others have said people will spread out in to the county for shops and restaurants.
  2. Can you rank it 1-5 please as that's all I understand
  3. Yeah I had a few mates who were always good at it, I did the awkward lurk.
  4. I dunno, women never used to come anywhere near me in clubs...
  5. Kept an eye out but haven't seen them
  6. I call every few days but he doesn't tend to stay on much because he's hard of hearing, not quite got round to Skype yet, they had to send me their laptop to install it for them so I'm not confident in their ability to master video!
  7. Thanks, he was such a good companion.
  8. The past couple of weeks have been really testing. Not just with worry about the virus but also with my wedding being cancelled, I cant visit or hug my dad who has dementia and last night my cat died. I know there are many bigger and harder issues around at the moment but I feel completely empty. I struggled badly while I was at uni, which is over ten years ago now and had been keeping on top of things fairly well over the years. I now feel back under a dark cloud.
  9. Had to nip to the shop to top up the gas and electric, someone behind me went to the lottery stand licked their fingers and rifled through the slips. Then decided she'd have a rummage through the sweets on the tills. People just don't give a shit and have some weird sense of entitlement that they can do what they want. We've got more chance of nailing piss to a lamppost than getting people to obey a simple rule.
  10. Sorry to hear bud. Hopefully they will be able to get the send of that they deserve!
  11. Yeah it's been tough. I think we both knew deep down since the announcements yesterday. We'll have our day at some point 👍
  12. We've just heard from our wedding venue that they no longer feel comfortable to go ahead with the wedding next friday. I know there are hugely more important global issues, its just guttting to get this close and not be able to get it done but the safety and health especially of our older guests is something we cant risk. Been a tough and emotional 24hrs.
  13. And he's got a girls name.
  14. I get married on the 27th of this month, I haven't been nervous at all during the run up but now I'm starting to worry. We both have grandparents with quite serious existing health issues so we are afraid that if they catch it they will be in trouble. Can't imagine them not being there but also can't risk them for the long term just for one day. The only saving grace is that it's a small wedding so the risk is a bit lower. Looks like I'll be getting married in a hazmat suit and not a moss bros special!
  15. That will haunt my dreams
  16. Nowhere near where we thought hed be
  17. Looking to book my honeymoon for the first few weeks of September, thinking of somewhere in Europe as my partner doesnt like long flights (about 4/5 hours max). Usual places such as Paris and Rome have been mentioned, has anyone got any other recommendations?
  18. Amazing how quickly forget the 0-1 defeats to Cardiff, Newcastle etc
  19. Pop the kettle on I'm going for a poo
  20. These are going to win the league by a country mile, past two games have shown us just how much work we've still got to do. It's just the passive nature of us that's so frustrating against the big teams.
  21. Perez and Barnes playing sh*the
  22. Crossing the road at Melton road just off the McDonald's roundabout in Thurmaston. Waiting for the lights to change and notice a car come to a stop, a few seconds go by and nothing happens. I look at the guy in the car and he motions for me to cross. I thought possibly the crossing is knackered, good job I checked the traffic light. The daft tw&t had gone out of his way to stop at a greenlight and try to wave me across for some reason. I'd say I was surprised but they guy in the lorry coming up behind him about cr&pped himself. The car driver then had the good grace to give me the w&nker sign and speed off.
  23. He's a pitiful toad
  24. Driving to work yesterday, someone tailgating me all the way down to the A46, get to the Hobby Horse roundabout and he pulls to the next lane. I look across and he's got his phone on the steering wheel scrolling through Instagram. C*nt. He pulls off and I notice a "baby on board" sign in his window. I get back akongside him on the 607 and now he's texting. Baffling, especially considering there was a fatal crash last week due to someone being on their phone. Sorry jnr but your dad's a Jeb-end!
