  1. Completely agree, I have a feeling there will be a list of fringe, out of favour and 1st teamers we are prepared to move on over the next months to cover the shortfall, if these can be done then it means we retain the core that Enzo wants, if we can’t shift them by mid to late June then that maybe the time we see the club buckle and be forced to sell KDH
  2. Too be honest, Top is culpable for us sleepwalking into relegation and he has rightly been questioned by many areas of the fanbase for many of the wrongs at the club, however as owner I think he has just as much right to celebrate promotion and winning the championship, as us fans did, not sure what he did so wrong or offensive last night, too be fair the players seemed more than happy to include him, which suggests there is a massive level of respect and admiration for him.
  3. I thought first half of the season he was superb, quite possibly our break out player then he got the injury at Blackburn and since then he has been hampered by injury and only really just got back to full fitness, i thought he played ok last night and with a full pre season under his belt I think he will kick on. Will be a very good squad player who can play both out wide and can play one of the 8 roles. Not as technically gifted as Mavididi or Fatawu but is still very dangerous and gets into some great positions, will only improve and I love his work rate. I thought he grew into the game last night, looked rusty at first but then seemed to relax and had a decent game and loved to see an academy graduate bag the 3rd goal and his celebration shows what the club means to him.
  4. Make no mistake he has done a fantastic job overall, lifted a club that was on its arse, inherited the most expensive squad in championship history, but that doesn’t make it an easy job or promotion a foregone conclusion. He has lifted the mentality, professionalism and most importantly the standards of the club, he has created a squad that the fans love and that has certainly helped repair some of the damage of the last couple of seasons where the fan base and players/manager seemed somewhat detached. Yeah there have been some blips and bumps in the road along the way and in those instances Enzo has sometimes shown his lack of experience, in the same way us as fans, showed a lack of patience, a lot of fear and in some cases a hint of entitlement. On top of that he has had to contend with the financial issues and ramifications, our January window where we exited the month with a weaker squad and some real holes in the squad in key areas. He was definitely not given the full picture and that will have created further uncertainty and pressure. Whilst the style of play is very different from Pearson, the impact Enzo has had on our club is very similar, he has lifted the whole place, the squad clearly love him. We have special manager in place, who is doing his utmost to right the wrongs of previous regime(s). I really hope we can keep him in the summer and make the changes needed elsewhere in the club to give Enzo the best opportunity and chance to create our next generation. It hasn’t been perfect but bloody hell he has done a great job, look at 12 months ago and last night, absolute chalk and cheese. Another pre season, some clever recruitment, retain some key out of contract players and promotion of the very best of our academy prospects and it’s still a very exciting future, and I for one would rather see Enzo at the helm than start next season with a manager of the ilk of Scott Parker.
  5. That was an away end and atmosphere to be truly proud of. Brilliant night and credit to PNE who let us celebrate and then had WYS blasting out over the PA system, absolute class.
  6. I think the only way he stays if the club have done something clever accounting wise with the player book value and taken a hit in the recently published accounts to reduce the book values of players with a view to a bit of a fire sale of a few fringe players such as Kristensen, Iversen, Thomas, Souttar, Soumare and then possibly shifting Daka and maybe someone like Faes. This may enable us to clear £25m-35m of clear profit and therefore negate the need to cash in on KDH. All very hypothetical but not beyond the realms of what could happen as I know Kieran Maguire has previously talked about clubs revising the amortisation of players.
  7. He is quite versatile, can play defensive midfield, left back, left midfield but is predominantly a central midfielder, stats are a little underwhelming, in relation to goal involvements, but if we lose KDH, Ndidi and Praet then the midfield will need an overhaul and a lot of reinforcements so the odd versatile squad player with potential will need to be recruited.
  8. Can only hope this is true, given it’s a bit of a piss take account it’s sometimes hard to take it serious but there are times when bits have turned out to be correct, got to hope and pray this is one of those times
  9. I am not so sure anyone who is deemed as in the frame for the 1st team goes out on loan, our system is quite complex so not sure whether a season out on loan would be so beneficial. I think a lot depends on how they progress during pre-season, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Nelson, Alves and Braybrooke are integrated fully into the 1st team squad next season. As this season has shown Enzo isn’t afraid to throw in young players.
  10. Enzo seems pretty driven, focused and professional so not sure yesterday was the massive piss up some think it may have been. Looks like we trained and then possibly the players and staff then enjoyed a couple of beers in recognition of the achievement of winning promotion.
  11. Whatever the deduction is, I actually think it will galvanise the whole club, we always seem to be at our best when we are the underdogs and things are against us. Let’s pull together now and show that Fearless and Foxes Never Quit spirit and attitude.
  12. As a relatively inexperienced manager he was always going to make mistakes and it not be plain sailing, yes it is the championships most expensive squad but it was also very unbalanced and.behind the scenes a bit of a circus. what he achieved in not only the mentality shift, but also managing to convert into results, whilst also having the financial issues hanging over the club, whilst fans say he has done what was expected, I don’t believe it has been quite so straight forward. When you look at it, there is a possibility that both Leeds and Southampton both end up in this division next season, so it clearly isn’t as easy and straight forward as some would have us believe. Well done Enzo, and I actually think another pre-season and the chance to bring in players with the profile and skill set to play his style and I think we will see a masked improvement on how play next season.
  13. Yeah people will point to the mini collapse but overall that is a fantastic achievement t to bounce back given the absolute shambolic mess we were in. Enzo has made plenty of mistakes but he has come out top dog against much more experienced managers in Martin and Farke despite both having similar quality squads. It hasn’t been plain sailing but arguably this has been the toughest championship league for a long time so to get out at the first time of asking is brilliant. Forget the shit and negativity tonight is a night to celebrate and enjoy, we need this so badly from a financial perspective. This gives us a chance to rebuild and hopefully get back on track.
  14. The sooner the better, QPR win tonight and promotion secured, means a great party atmosphere at Preston and then hopefully a performance to match that potentially seals the title.
  15. Wouldn’t be shocked if Vardy ends up stepping into some sort of ambassador role with the club. Given his personality he would be the ideal successor, keeps him involved with the club, provides an income and his presence around the training ground and on match days would be superb.
  16. It’s not a foregone conclusion we stil have work to do to finish off the job. however whilst we should never have been relegated and its the most expensive squad blah blah blah etc i actually think Enzo has done an excellent t job in resetting the club and getting what is a unbalanced squad with a few square legs in round holes to buy into his methods and to lift the doom and gloom having over the club last summer. This isn’t football manager the game, lots of comments about my gran or any random manage could get this team up etc etc but actually in the real world it ain’t that simple especially when you look at a squad with a significant number of out of contract players, others who looked certain to leave but didn’t and a back drop of a club that is in a bit of a shambles behind the scenes. Not taking into account Ipswich who have suprised many, it was always being talked about 2 from 3 of Leeds, Southampton and ourselves, if we do get over the line, there is a every chance that Leeds and Saints could end up both in the play offs despite having spent significantly in the summer, having more experienced managers and having retained a healthy core of premier league experience players, it was never ever gong to be HMS piss the league, in Leeds and Southampton there were two others teams very capable of winning the league,. Whilst it is very different circumstances to the promotions under Adam’s and Pearson, it will still be, if we do it, an absolutely fantastic achievement. Given the quite unique pressure of the finances and PSR performance and that it’s Enzo’s first management job in England, I think he has tremendously well especially when you consider how inexperienced he is in comparison to the other managers in and around us.
  17. I don’t think he was unnecessarily critical of the players or how they played, too be fair our off the ball work was unreal, however when we had the ball at times we were a bit wasteful and whilst the goals were superb and the moves executed to perfection, there were other passages of play where the decision making or final execution of pass were poor, this will always happen in games. I am not sure this was him saying we can’t play this way, just that at times we were careless in possession and made a few unforced errors which broke down opportunities to get on the ball and control passages of play. Ideally I think we still attack with the pace and the aggressive press but in certain instances we get on the ball and be more controlled. Overall he seemed happy enough with how we played but I think in a world of striving for perfection, he will have seen many occasions where we gave possession far too easily due to unforced errors or poor decision making. Winks, Justin, KDH, Ndidi were particularly guilty.
  18. Absolutely superb performance, defensively arguably our best of the season, to restrict a pretty free scoring side like Southampton to no shots on target was brilliant and was the foundation for a scintillating attacking display, what a difference it makes when we are ruthless in front of goal and take our chances. When we click this is football is very special and I still think there is a lot of improvements to make both in player development and with the recruitment of players better suited to Enzo’s style. Still absolutely buzzing this morning.
  19. Never mind looking gormless it was the fact he looked so pissed off each time we scored and then at the end when Top and the rest of the supporters were rightly buzzing and celebrating with the players after such a brilliant result and performance , Rudkin is just stood there looking like he is about to cry, every time I saw him, I kept going mad about it. something definitely not right, maybe the rumour that he is gone in the summer is true.
  20. Ndidi has been poor, I would bring Hamza on in his place and really get in their faces, press really high and punish them. Need a 2nd early on to dampen any threat of a comeback.
  21. It’s a very simple equation win tonight and on Monday and it’s job done, it doesn’t matter what anyone else does. Will be a tough game as Saints are excellent going forward but can be got at defensively, wouldn’t be surprised if we nick this 3-2 or 4-3. As much as I would love to see Cannon start, Daka’s pressing could be critical tonight and cause them so many problems defensively.
  22. Some of our best signings have looked underwhelming at the time of our initial interest and joining the club. I actually think he would be a very solid addition, decent experience of premier league football and overall is a consistent 7/10 performer, not a sexy signing but a very sensible one all the same.
  23. 😂😂 I posted on X this morning to drum up interest in joining the Foxes Trust, nothing controversial and he was straight on it. He is very sensitive to any challenge on the club, I think he has to be close to member(s) of the Senior exec team.
  24. Enzo has flaws and is still learning his trade as a manager, let’s be honest we are Leicester City so it’s most likely our Managers will be young up coming managers but with a lot of learning to do or established managers who are perhaps on the downward trajectory. 91 points is not to be sniffed at, this may be the most expensive squad in relation to fees and wages, ever seen in the championship but I very much disagree that it’s the best squad. When Enzo took over on the summer I will guarantee the club and Enzo fully expected players such as Iversen, Ward, Souttar, Faes, Vesty, Ndidi, Praet, Iheanacho and Daka to move on, creating more opportunities to bring in the players of a profile that befit the style of play. The club made a complete hash of that and it has meant that we have been left with a bloated and unbalanced squad. for that reason there has ended up being more square pegs in round holes or having to utilise players to play roles that do not necessarily suit their attributes, Ndidi for example, being utilised as a high 8, whilst he has improved he is a million miles off the technical ability we require to really make this system work, I think in the summer we can replace him for cheaper wages and with a player with a better profile. We have potentially 6 very high earners potentially moving on in the summer due to contracts expiring and aside from Vesty, who is well suited to the style the rest even including Vardy are not necessarily the profile or skill set that’s ideally suited to how we play. I honestly believe another refresh of 6/7 players in the summer, who don’t necessarily have to cost a fortune but have a profile that aligns to the style of play and the promotion/emergence of one or two academy prospects like Braybrooke, Alves and Nelson will have a big change in how we rotate and the use of subs next season.
