Given how Monga & Page have done in pre season I would be shocked if neither are at least involved from the bench. I wouldnt be shocked if 20 shirts in main dressing room has been leaked on purpose -

Will be interesting to see which players are not involved as it will be a hint to who we are close to moving on or who we are trying to force out for that reason I am not convinced that one or two of VK, Faes, Vesty, Winks, Daka might be notable absentees. I think Soumare will be involved initially but wouldn’t be shocked to see him shifted on before the deadline. Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I am taking this £15m fee with a massive pinch of salt, remember the Ayoze Perez deal, Newcastle happy for the £30m fee to be out in the public domain and yet the up front fee we paid was closer to £16m Truth is West Ham will want to look like they have played a blinder, so happy to brief sources fee was lower than what is being reported. Truth is not sure we will ever truly know what the final fee, add ons etc end up. -
I hate myself for saying this but could be an opportunity to be absolutely ruthless, Wednesday need cash so offer £2m up front no sell on or add ons, just one up front payment, reckon they would have little option but too accept.

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agreed, it does make smile how some folk react and take it as gospel, when in reality I doubt any of us will ever truly know the make up of any transfer deal, particularly when so many are now undisclosed. -
Absolutely 100% agree with this, for once I think this is very sensible move by the club, why burden a younger player or new striker with the added pressure of wearing the shirt number recently vacated by possibly our greatest ever player, that would have been an unreal weight of expectation for any player to carry.
-
Yeah fair point, hopefully this will progress now the Mads deal has been finalised.

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Good luck Mads, very decent keeper but probably one area where we have a more than adequate replacement which means we can us the money to hopefully strengthen other areas of the squad. -
This could explain the Doyle link our of the : defenders linked to Milan Okoli is the cheapest so would imagine that would make it a very high possibility.
-
Or like Mads last week it’s a goodbye
-
Agreed and by reducing the up front payment has meant the £5m has increased to £6m with higher add ons
-
Highly likely if we have agreed a £6m deal it will include add ons, would be surprised if we agreed to a 4 year deal, personally for a player of that age and potential, we would want to try and tie him to a five year contract.

Marti Cifuentes appointed new manager
Claudio Fannieri replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think he 100% gets it, if it was club driven you would be able to see through it as propaganda and would just be word soup similar to a Coady interview. What I see with Marti is as close to a modern day Pearson, he wants to fully integrate himself into the club and city, he wants to be successful but also wants the club to be the best in everything it does especially when it comes to utilising academy players. I know it’s early days and things can go badly quickly but I really really like what I am seeing and hearing from him and I really hope he can be a success and is with us for a long time. -
Thanks so much pal really appreciate it

🦊💙 Running for a Cause – Team Leicester City 💙🦊 This October, I’ll be taking on the Prostate United challenge once again – running 5km every single day throughout the month to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK. Proud to be doing it as part of Team Leicester City, flying the flag for our club and our community while supporting a cause that affects so many men and families across the country. This will be my third year taking on the challenge – and at nearly 52 years old, it’s not getting any easier! But it’s a cause close to my heart, and something I feel passionate about continuing to support. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK, and by getting behind this campaign, we can help fund life-saving research and raise vital awareness. If you can spare a few quid or just help spread the word, it would mean the world 🖤🩵 Let’s show what the Foxes family is all about – together, we can make a difference. Please share far and wide in advance of October. #ProstateUnited #LCFC #TeamLeicesterCity #EveryDay5K #ForThe1In8 #FoxesFamily #RunningForACause

Is this inside knowledge? Was at Preston very highly thought of but didnt get offered a new deal due to alleged issues with his attitude. Not sure he is a starting XI signing too be honest, would rather we kept Tom Wilson Brown

Mads Hermansen (close to 18m move to West Ham)
Claudio Fannieri replied to MPH's topic in Transfer Talk
Started last season on absolute fire and at the beginning of December was £30m however since then he has been either injured or poor form which has meant that the interest has been greatly reduced and therefore his value has diminished, too many are focusing on his form at the start of the season where as unfortunately the footballing world and West Ham are basing their interest and offer off the back of a pretty disappointing last 6 months of injury and some fairly underwhelming performances. -
Wilfred Ndidi Joins Beşiktaş On Permanent Deal
Claudio Fannieri replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Good move for all parties, nowhere near the level of player he was at his peak, this gives us a decent fee for one of our highest earners, in terms of PSR compliance this is a really significant move. -
I am not thanking him nor am i singing his praises or ignoring his previous mistakes, all I am saying is so far we have been sensible in trying to move on some of the highest earners and we have been sensible in having to accept a compromise deal with West Ham for Mads, whereas in previous years I think we would have been stubborn, dug in our heels and held onto a player which then invariably backfires on us. He is still woefully out of his depth however this summer there does at least seem a little more realism in our valuations to help move on players, that is all I am saying.
-
I am no fn of Rudkin as I have said, I am not saying he is doing a good job, he should have gone 2 summers ago as part of the internal review however all I am saying is, we have managed to move on 2 of our highest wage earners and bring in £11m plus sold our goalkeeper for £18m which hopefully gives us some room for manoeuvre to bring in a couple of players. £30m or so in sales and by my reckoning about 400k per week off the wage bill so in terms of managing finances and PSR we are moving in the right direction, however I still would make the change at DoF level as it’s the deadwood that he seems to struggle to move on, what I am hoping is we have now realised we have to be sensible in our valuations to move players on.
-
He is far from my favourite person and I think we are long overdue a change at DoF but in the last week he has moved on two high earners in Coady for £2m and Wilf for £9m and will have also sold Mads for £18m to the only club genuinely interested in doing a deal. Hopefully we will now use that money to bring in 2/3 players to suit Marti’s style of play. I am still hopeful JJ, Faes and Soumare are shifted on in the next couple of weeks as well. I will judge him at the end of the window as to whether he has had a successful summer wheeling and dealing.

From Preston it usually takes between 2.5 and 3 hours. About 130 miles and worth every single minute 😂😂 However on Sunday I will be watching from a bar in Vilamoura as still on holiday 🍻
