I agree we don't have a midfield !! Winks is OK but past his best, Ndidi way past his best, Soumare was always crap. Coopers come in and we've tried to sign some players but nobody decent wants to come here, that's not his fault ! It's not rocket science, we're not replacing the class players that have left ,but you cant blame that on a manager that has just arrived !

To be honest if Guardiola had inherited this team he'd be struggling. Last year we struggled against any team with a high press and that was with KDH and a lower standard. If yesterday was anything to by we won't be spending much time in anybody's half this year, its going to be backs to the wall 90 minute defending. To play out from the back you have to have the players who can technically implement it, we don't have those players right now. We're walking with no backbone and time is running out.

It was tongue in cheek, however I've never felt so underwhelmed before the start of a season. I normally can't wait for it to start but this actually feels a bit scary !

I think people are shitting themselves because we have barely any creativity left in the team. If we went down with the likes of Maddison, KDH and Barnes, how the he'll are we going to survive, especially when the Prem seems to evolve every year. Throw in 8 point deduction, we're stuffed.
