  1. What Les Paul do you have, out of interest? I'd quite like one but cannot really justify it and would probably have to get rid of something to make room (unless I hide it!). The cost of a Gibson is a bit too ouch (even if I tell myself it's an investment) but the Epiphone 'Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop"range are tempting and starting to drop in price a bit
  2. I 100% endorse this recommendation. He really knows his stuff and will take the time to get it exactly how you want it
  3. Wordle 1,288 4/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ 🟨🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩🟨⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  4. About time one of my two starting guesses did something good: Wordle 1,287 2/6 🟩🟩⬜🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  5. First run in 3 weeks, a slow and steady 10k. Felt alright actually, there is hope
  6. When did they get rid of them? Really fancied one today
  7. I don't think I could've stank the place out more if I'd taken a dump in the gangway and I'm saying that as a man who's eaten A LOT of party food. Weird atmosphere walking away from the ground, like the crowd weren't that angry, but in awe of the depths we're sinking to
  8. If gilt markets and sandwiches can be woke, it was only a matter of time
  9. Anyone else read this? Needless to say, it's bonkers https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/news/2024/dec/19/humphreys-world-how-the-samuel-smith-beer-baron-built-britains-strangest-pub-chain
  10. ...disagree with it, I meant. Oh no, I've been infected
  11. Well I've already had one, so I could
  12. For the love of God, please change the thread title
  13. Oh that's lucky as I couldn't help myself as I knocked him from his bike, dragged him into the bushes and I'm pretty sure made him believe all his Christmasses had come at once. Glad I didn't misread the signs, imagine how awkward that would have been
  14. No walk across Braunstone Park is complete without a young (sometimes not so young) male (always) on a bike making a point of doing a wheelie as they ride past, seemingly for my benefit. Walked across there today for first time in a while, saw literally one other person - tick! I've asked why this happens loads of times now and still nobody seems to know what it's about. Are they simply telling me that they have mastered the wheelie and are very proud of it? Maybe I look like someone that would be into bike trickery, but I doubt it. I must admit, I wouldn't be able to do one but isn't this the most basic of bike stunts? I can't believe they've not got anything better
  15. TBH that was the only reason I kept going with it. And I can have a bath if I want (I don't)
  16. IT IS FIXED
  17. Went to the Three Kilns last night. In common with quite a few similar places it's still sort of a pub, with big TVs showing music videos and the main dining area not the cosiest, but the food was really good and the service impressive given how busy it was. Was part of a massive booking and it was great to be able to order and pay at the counter first so we didn't have to faff about going through the bill at at the end. Would go back, but next on the list is The Broadway
  18. Update: managed to pull the actual plug out by cunningly Gorilla- taping a plastic car trim removal tool (perfect due to right angled prising bit at the end), letting the tape cure over night and then lifting it out. Pulled out hairs and shite, chucked the old Mr Muscle drain unblocker down and then oiled everything again, and it seems everything is now actually moving. Just need to put it back together....
  19. The spindle is metal, and can be turned a bit either way but it's hard to tell if it's actually turning or just twisting the whole mechanism. I've sprayed 3 in 1 oil into every place I can access but I still don't really know how the thing actually works so not sure if this is going to help. Spoke to the plumber last night who reckons we'll have to have the side panel off which could be a nightmare as there's a lot crammed into our bathroom, furniture wise. Lesson learned - don't let people build in overly complicated mechanisms of little advantage into projects that you cannot get to if they go wrong
  20. Stanley knife/Screwdriver not an option (gap not even big enough for those). Going to see if I've got one of those little suction cups for changing spotlights. And see if the neighbours have a plunger (I've got a futuristic plastic concertina thing that whilst great for unblocking lavs won't help for this). Cheers
  21. Thank you. That bit I can do, but it won't turn far either way, and certainly doesn't shift the plug. I thought wheel might have been loose, which is why I took it off, but turning the spindle with grips doesn't make any difference. Could the plug itself be stuck? Not sure how to get that out, it's very flush with its surround and the gap isn't wide enough to get anything in to prise it
  22. Anyone know how to fix one of these? I can reattach the twist wheel thing but turning it doesn't do anything, although there is resistance
  23. She's messed up and actually resigned. It's like the old days! I was getting used to ministers hanging on for dear life until everyone gets bored of the issue (which in fairness usually seems to be after a few minutes these days)
  24. That's what I've got, did you not get along with it? I like it but I've never had the patience to really get the most out of it if I'm honest
  25. It's an X-Sonic U Looper. I don't know a whole lot about it other than it's designed to work with modelling amps so connects via USB. The net result is that it can record the amp's different tones in the loops, if that makes sense. It just about does to me!
