Let’s be honest and I’ll be very happy if I’m completely wrong but that 11 in an FA cup 5th round winnable tie against a prem team that were always going to rest 10 is pretty pathetic - full side and quarters here we come - might as well have been knocked out in 3rd round putting that side out tonight - like I said hope I’m wrong but let’s call a spade a spade - he has put the Ressies out because Saturday is more important- it is what it is - hope it helps the young lads and doesn’t hurt them

Everyone calm the France down - that was a very good performance for 90% - unfortunately for us the big chances fell to mav and daka who can’t hit a barn door - apart from that the team were very good - obviously when you miss those chances they will go up the other end and score and score again and again - I don’t think it’s the end of the world - it will spark us up or it won’t and if it doesn’t we won’t deserve it - this league is crap - every time we play someone decent we stuggle but today I don’t think we did - but you can’t miss those chances in any league - we will be just fine this year

Tougher game than most think - they are a handful - comfortably worth their point at home - very decent at set plays - no room for an average display like yesterday- bang at it and we will have to much - off it 30% and they will cause us problems

Apart from the one he gave away in the first minute that they nearly scored from he was actually pretty blooming decent the other night - he is a lovely footballer for a big monster - he just has no pace and would get absolutely destroyed in the prem - that said lovely feet for a big bloke and absolutely is one of the major dictators of this style of play in our team - fair play to the bloke - massively surprised me this year - good on him - not the answer for the future but to be fair many aren’t in this team either - for this team in this league he is proper decent

Paid 15m in this financial year for him - depreciated to 12m now - if we accepted less than 12m it books as a loss in this financial year every penny under that and actually makes the p&l worse - if we loan him it doesn’t as still on books at that value - he isn’t out of contract in the summer so doesn’t walk anywhere for free - just accounting and would be worth less depreciation wise in summer and different financial year so would sell then - that’s what iv read anyway - complicated - yep

Been said before - zero chance they book a loss on him - it will be 12m or a loan which means it will be a loan at best

Nobody wants to get rid of kdh to get this done - nobody - what should be expected is we have some kind of capability to sell some of the absolute dross we are paying 50k a week or just buy him anyway at 2m quid - you wouldn’t get a decent prospect from league 1 for 2m quid - it’s mental - our transfer efforts are pathetic

I’d look at it the other way - he got the bare minimum needed - we couldn’t shift any of the dead wood apart from a few rubbish loans - he has had to deal with kel , wilf, souts, daka, etc etc that should have been sold somehow and had no choice but to play some of them as we have nobody else

Completely agree - makes no sense at all to do with having to sell - this deal is as cheap as it gets - if we don’t have 2m to spend we are in way worse condition financially than I thought possible - 100m in the coffers in the summer just gone - how with squad space , cas going back and iverson out can’t we afford to get this guy in - baffling

All about a bit of balance for me- I think he is getting a little prickly when there is no need really- you are always going to have some fans that do not want us to play quite as many passes as we do at the back in the way we do- I can understand that a little bit Nobody can debate the numbers- they are nothing short of fantastic and he is doing a great job- there is no denying it I do think its fair though that any and all managers and teams take a bit of criticism sometimes- there are things that are far from perfect with this team and I do not think its that big of deal if there is a bit of noise from the crowd who ultimately just want us to go after some of teams we are definitely better than We definitely have an issue with doing more when we go 1-0 up- we haven't learned anything from shef wed, ipswich and ipswich games where we went 1-0 up and pretty much stopped playing- you could see that second ipswich game goal coming from half time and we all know it- there were shades of that last night but against weaker opposition and we did enough again to win- which we have done the majority of the time this season again against weaker opposition and Enzo and the team deserve credit for that I personally think its a mixture of 2 things 1- we have been spoiled for years before last year with a very strong team that could more than hold its own in the best league in the world and 2- we actually have never seen this style of football before - it does take some getting used to- it goes from downright boring to unbelievable highs in the flick of a switch- its definitely taking some time for me to adjust to and I think the crowd just get a bit bored at certain points and want to see us pass our way up the pitch quicker sometimes- again I see no problem in that as some of the time we probably should be It all comes down to a bit of perspective- I am just trying to enjoy it for what it is- the second tier against weaker oppo and we are doing very well- its not the summit- we arent the finished article and you know what yes at times seeing vesty, faes and the keeper pass it to each other 15 times can be a bit boring- but we are winning more often than not and if you cannot enjoy the team we love winning then there is definitely something wrong with you- enjoy it for what it is - do I think this team could cut it in the prem- 100% absolutely not - they would get found out massively but weve got plenty of time to worry about that - and so has Enzo- id prefer him to just keep doing what he is doing and hopefully learn from where we have made mistakes rather than have a hissy fit because every member of the crowd doesnt adore his beautiful football- get over it and get us out of this division please Enzo I have no entitlement- Iv spent 80% of my supporting life watching us at this level- enjoy this year for what it is- nothing better than our team winning- nothing!

So nobody really has a clue what’s going on then - surely £90m in during the summer should have offset everything and then some especially as barnes was home grown it’s pure profit - we also just got iverson out of the 25 man squad so there is squad space so also doesn’t make sense in that respect that we can’t get this done - also we know 5 or 6 100k a week players are out of contract in 6 months so the wages come down massively without doing anything- how we can possibly still be in trouble is not an easy one to work out at all - I for one was extremely surprised to hear this come from maresca- pretty much exactly the rodgers speech from 18 months and 12 months ago - doesn’t make sense no matter which way you look at it

In that video above he looks every bit a number 8- always way higher than a winks role in that video- looks like he plays a lot in the left 8- thats fine - plenty of times this year KDH is playing the right 8- im sure with that ability he will be absolutely fine at this level if not fantastic- get him in

Obviously not great news but he was going to be gone for a month anyway- and we might have tried to scrape through without a replacement- with this news we will defo sign someone no doubt

Good thread - but probably shows why we should just enjoy the next 5 months even more - my opinion here will just sound negative but ill give it anyway I do not want to think of this team in the Prem- would be a miracle not to finish bottom 3 Only current Prem quality players are potentially Hermansen, Ricky, Justin, Winks, KDH- and thats being positive - if the keeper plays the 1 or 2 hospital balls he does every game in the prem they wont miss, can Ricky and Justins bodies deal with the pace of the Prem after the Injuries?, Winks is a beautiful footballer but is he to lightweight for the Prem now?, KDH has the energy but his distribution is questionable even at this level Mavidid, Fatawu and Akgun could all be good enough given the chance but could also easily be nowhere near it- Jury is out on those 3 but its possible they could cut it On previous showing last year Faes, Ndidi, Ihenacho, Vardy, Daka, Praet, coady are no where near good enough and Vesty, albrighton, mcateer have no chance I go back to where I started - this team has been built to get us out of this league and what a job they are doing of it- coached superbly and even though its not always been pretty they are miles and miles above the rest at this level- but that is this level The difference in quality between the championship and Prem is beyond huge- I trust the gaffer to know what will be needed to have a good crack at staying up next year but id expect a huge squad shift again in the summer- yes because of contract situations but mostly im hoping because he knows we would need to majorly strengthen

We need 3 don’t we - at least on loan - not sure how many more we are allowed but id say we need 3 starters - cm , right wing and centre forward with the 4 going Afcon- personally I don’t think casadei or cannon are good enough to start and not sure how much he fancies yunus right wing as he hasn’t really used him there and who knows how long vardy is out for - I’d be really concerned if we think we can get through with cas for Ndidi, yunus for fatawa and cannon for daka in the starting 11 for a month or so - the squad would look very very thin - obviously need to be careful on the 3 we bring in if they are perm as have to be good enough for next year which might to hard to do in jan - 3 loans maybe - Enzo will know this and I’m sure we have plans

Fair result - decent point but the gaffer has had an absolute stinker with starting coady and then making those subs - honking decisions - on we go

Completely agree about vardy and iheanacho- unfortunately daka is easily as bad and nobody has a clue about cannon
