Ahhhhh good luck and I hope you hit your target! My issue is that I gauge my success on how many dogs I can stroke during a race -

Who is running Leicester half? Im torn between ‘racing’ and going for a PB or just having fun and clocking somewhere between 2:05-2:08ish -

It’s a home crowd sell-out so should be a good afternoon out. I think it’ll do the teenager good as well and remind her that city actually aren’t that bad…..

Last minute sign up to Leicester Half after a nightmare at Tissington Trail Half last weekend. Considering pushing for a PB although I’m not sure I can bank enough time before hitting New Walk -

Tissington Trail Half tomorrow and I haven’t ran this far since Bosworth Half in June. It’s been nice of having a break in training cycles. -

There’s a whole app full of parkrun challenges! I’ve completed Leicestershire, nearly completed Nottinghamshire and Birmingham and only have a Q and a V to complete my alphabet. I hated parkrun when I first started attending as I used to constantly chase a time. Covid happened and now I dick about, talk to people, stroke dogs and head off somewhere decent for breakfast. I’m enjoying parkrun so much more than I did before. -
A few moments before the substitution he went to win the ball back and got up holding onto his calf.

Best way of getting a long run in! Run to parkrun - parkrun - run home -

I walk for a few minutes before running. I’ve always been told that your first mile should be your slowest to give your legs/lungs/head a chance to warm up. If it’s parkrun and I’m in the mood for time chasing, I’ll always do a good 10 minute warm up jog to get the blood flowing -

My rough plan at the moment is to use it as a stopover for a couple of days before heading into Slovenia.

I do one that is 6 hours of 4 mile out and backs (2 out 2 back) on the Humber Bridge. To be honest, boredom sets in before fatigue. The best thing I have learned is that walk any uphill/incline and steady pace the flat and downhills. Give it a go as they’re good fun! -

There’s this niggling feeling that I have that the uncertainty of the points deduction is having an affect on attitudes. -

Has anyone been to Liechtenstein? I’m tentatively planning another European road trip and would like to know if it’s worth a stop over for a few days?

I swapped from Apple to Garmin and then to Polar. I think it depends on what you’re doing running wise. My main reason for changing was for the battery life. The battery life on an Apple Watch wasn’t enough for 10/12 hour run recording whereas the Garmin battery life was. I now need a watch that will have enough battery for 24 hours and my Polar watch fits that criteria
