In my head I knew this was coming but my heart quite simply isn’t ready

Highly unlikely to make my priority point bracket so if anyone decides not to go and has 2 tickets, please think of me -
Faes. BDCR. Wow. Honestly Ruud does make me chuckle

I’m always cautious of overestimating my ability and normally end up cursing myself for starting too far back! This is why I like Conkers as you line up in approximate finish times. -

90th different parkrun location today and I’m slowly creeping back to a decent time for a 46 year old mum of 2 -

Once you enter the finish funnel, timekeepers record your position and finish time then you’re given a finish token - the token crew are at the end of the funnel. You stay in order, take a token and then go and get scanned. Even if the person with your barcode finishes after you, your finishers token will record your finish time. I sometimes get my barcode scanned 10 minutes after I’ve finished as I’ve gone to meet the child or made my mileage up and my time is still my finish token time. It’s also worth noting that your time is from when they say go and not when you cross the start. I hope that makes sense! -
I’ve messaged the teenager suggesting she calls it quits and come home early. I’m glad I don’t do night games ( I’m an in bed by 9pm kinda gal! Just wow.

Ran Derby 10K today because I liked the previous years finishers T shirt. Although the shirt arrived before the race there’s one thing I didn’t notice…..it has the Derby badge on it Found today harder than it should’ve been and I’m a bit annoyed with myself but ended up finishing 2 minutes faster than my 10K in February which was flat compared to this. It’s not a hilly course as such but the climbs up the road over bridges suck the life out of you. Started and finished at the stadium and was good to see a city shirt out there today. -

I went before they had issues with flooding I think it was. If I remember rightly the start is a bit meh as you run around rugby pitches but once away from there it was beautiful. I do believe though that the course has changed so this isn’t very helpful at all -

Actually it does! I love the event but decided to give back this time - joined the 24 hours on a lap at 4:45am. It’s the first time in 7 years I have fully taken part. Sadly it’s the only one for 2025 as they are making the bridge fencing safer. -

Spent yesterday afternoon volunteering at Hell On The Humber. Watching runners bang out 100 miles (25 x4 miles laps) on the Humber bridge was something else. From about 8pm they had to deal with a headwind and gusts up to 56 mph on the 2 mile out to the south side. It was really quite humbling to watch. -

Anyone else running the Derby 10K on the 6th? I only entered it as the t shirt is really nice! I’ve had an awful few months and stopped running - I’ve pulled out of all my races and I’ve been really quite unwell. Thought I’d start with an easy 10K and see what happens. This will shape the rest of my year. -

I’ll be at the half way point! I’ve been really unwell recently and running has taken a back seat so didn’t enter Ashby. -
League One & Two - 2024/25 season

Went to Northampton v Blackpool today and sat in the away end. Had a grand day out although it was weird being around people celebrating the win. The thought of league one football again is truly terrifying -

Adolescence hit hard - not only as a parent to a teenager but as someone who also works in a secondary school. Not sure if it’s now been taken off but Happy! is a great watch -
Yep……the same question was asked a few weeks ago and my answer still remains the same.

Thank you and goodnight.

I’ve changed my mind….i think we might be able to salvage a point from this

I have a good feeling about tonight and reckon we’ll win

Went to view my ‘forever home’ last night and fell in love. Need to go back again with a more objective head on before making a decision. It’s a lot of house, liveable however every room needs updating. The garden is spectacular though

I’m nearly 3 weeks in and still struggling. I’ve ended up on antibiotics as I can’t shift it plus had a sinus infection. I missed my favourite race on Sunday and now feel a bit like what’s the point -

Right in the heart of the city - it’s the London Winter 10K
