Finished on 35 miles for the week after an absolutely hideous 10 miler this morning. Has anyone taken the plunge and tried the Nike Vomero plus yet? They were released this week and people are really hyping them up. Just wanted to get some ‘real life’ feedback as opposed to someone on social media

I have always used Avin who owns MSK Osteopath and highly recommend him. It can be tricky to get an appointment and yes he is expensive but I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

It’s a nightmare! People rave about Brooks but I’ve never got on with them. My best shoes were the Nike Lunarglide 9’s. Paid less than £50 and then they discontinued them.

Nope but keep an eye for out for the Windmill Fell Race - it’s already been this year and a few from my club run it. If you fancy trail, mud, hills then look at next years Belvoir Challenge or the Belper Rover.

I’m really anti the NovaBlasts 5’s. I find that they lack a bit of oomph and don’t hold up over 10K. Really disappointed with them. My day to day are the Nike Zoom Fly 6 - the 5 were dreadful but Nike have pulled it back with these. Decent workhorse of a trainer. I also have a pair of Vaporfly’s and Saucony Endorphin Speed 4’s - love the saucony and they feel like slippers on longer runs.

It’s a really quite sad state of affairs at SWFC at the moment.

If you ever make a toe sock version then I’d be all over them! I struggle with ‘normal’ socks for running as my feet are just weird!

Have you logged onto the desktop version and corrected the distance?

Round Sheffield Run was as amazing as ever however the humidity in the woods was something else! Lost the will to live around the half way mark and contemplated a massive DNF howler after being referred to as ‘rapid’ by another run decided not to quit and to see how far in front of him I could finish. (Just under half an hour for those who care and his running mate had quit!)
