  1. After a bit of inspiration. Last long run of my training tomorrow (18.64 miles ) and I’m thinking laps of somewhere. Did 20 miles at Thornton Reservoir a few weeks back and it destroyed my soul but was great to fuel etc. Is there anywhere else like this you’d recommend to run at?
  2. Got the other half to check and was told that the company didn’t post them all in time and should be with everyone by tomorrow.
  3. Mine came through about 5 minutes ago so 40 minutes after paying.
  4. When I got on just past 9, they were only showing 2 seats in B3 but when I clicked on them it said not available.
  5. Decided on a change of view and went for G1 - normally in SK1.
  6. Successful
  7. Not wild wild I know but how long have these majestic beasts been at Beacon Hill for??!!
  8. I keep trying to find the words to describe how I feel about this man. He has this air of innocence and naivety about him and seems to have a genuine love for the game and his team mates. I think I love him
  9. Who is this Ihenacho guy and what have they done with the guy who looked like him?!!! Really impressed with him
  10. Where are you based? I see a really rather amazing osteo who works out of different surgery’s in Leicester plus from his hind in Scraptoft. My training load is increasing every week and he’s kept me ticking over. Happy to share his details.
  11. For the first time in ages I’ve found myself actually enjoying running! Have run everyday since Christmas Day - not massive mileage but closing in on 100 miles in 28 days and 70 for January.
  12. Well if it helps, my Romanian rescue is part tw*t so.......
  13. @FoxesDebcould he be a Podenco/Ibizan Hound cross or something similar?
  14. We’ve had several cases at the secondary school I work at. Students are presenting with varying ailments such as sickness, headaches, sore throats and colds. I’m currently isolating as we’re waiting on test results for my eldest 😩
  15. My absolute pride is an original 1984 (I think but without the Ind Coop sponsor on the front). My dad has told me to sell it but I don’t think I can part with it!
  16. I’m not even within touching distance of my JF10 time! Was the easiest run I’d ever had with minimal effort yet everything since has been a struggle. (And yes, I’m still holding the cancellation of the Leicester Half responsible for the downturn in my motivation!). Had a half decent week. Cycling has overshadowed running a bit for me lately and I’ve whacked out a 100 miler and a 50 miler in the last 6 weeks on little or no training. Slowly finding the love again for things and next weekend will be the biggest test ever.
  17. Did the LRRL virtual 5 miler - I’m over 3 mintues off my PB at moment 🤦🏼‍♀️ Mixed things up a bit and took the good old road bike on a spin yesterday - 100 miles of Leicester and surrounding countryside completed 💪🏻 Does anyone know of any independent cycle shops in Leicester. We have one near where I live however I need to look at an alternative to my Liv bike as she’s murder on climbs.
  18. This was me yesterday 😂 Both season tickets refund hit my bank today
  19. Is that the one in Burbage?
  20. And breathe! So pleased for Vardy - hoping that this takes that frustration away for him
  21. Did a 24 hour event nearly 2 weeks ago which has helped to shift the mindset a little bit. I realised a few weeks ago that I’m sick of chasing times and now just go out to enjoy it. Keeping my mileage sensible and having more fun strength training which is something I’ve really ignored. 2 virtuals this weekend - Lutterworth 5 (May run the actual course as it’s a good one) and the LRRL 5k.
  22. And if I'm a little bit deranged would you not estrange me or change me And if I can write your name can I be angry and nasty And if nothing else can change me and I am just this way then Would you love me? I’m a fantastic wreck by Montaigne.
  23. This is my beautiful beast I’ve only had her since October 2019 as I was all signed up for Ride 100 to complete my London Classics but the universe had other ideas. She’s a decent entry level bike and has been a great introduction to cycling. Will look to upgrade her this winter and keep her as my winter bike as I need a lighter bike for duathlons and possibly triathlons. She’s a bit heavy on climbs but apart from that she’s a really enjoyable ride. Took her over to Bosworth Battlefields which was a 50 odd mile round trip. The advantage of where I live is so many decent routes right on my doorstep. Padded shorts and no pants are the way forward! I also use a Assos Chamois Cream and I’ve had no soreness or pain whatsoever.
  24. On the list of stupid things I have done, I think this may be the winner. One mile every hour - sounds simple right? Except it’s for 24 hours. If you live in or around Burbage, keep an eye out for 2 people who should really have thought about this a bit more 😂 https://www.phoenixrunning.co.uk/events/virtual-p24-the-longest-day
  25. The standard times are go for are set by my club. If you want to have a look at county standards, this will give you an idea. I have to admit that went it comes to county and club standards, I’m glad female! https://lran.org.uk/county-standards
