Just ease into that sofa slowly. You’ll be ok.

I can imagine the knives were sharpening for the post match thread prior to the Winks goal! Probably the most important 3 points we’ve taken all season. Let’s hope we regain some confidence from this and it kickstarts another run.

Climate change over millions of years, hundreds of thousands of years, or even just a thousand years wouldn’t be a problem for civilisation as it could adapt on such a timescale. The problem is caused by the rapid rate of change as has been mentioned above.

The problem with bottom upwards is that even when consumers have every intention of “going green”, they often have little or no choice unless government regulation and support means that better options are available and affordable. Here in Australia there is a huge uptake in rooftop solar power (understandably given the climate). This was initially driven by government incentives but is now a thriving, self-sustaining industry with much less support. However, the large amount of power being generated at the wrong times is causing problems for a grid system that wasn’t designed to work in this way. Part of the answer in my opinion would be for a much greater uptake of domestic batteries to store the excess solar power locally. I believe this would potentially double the effective amount of usable power generated in this way and take pressure off the grid. But this option, though attractive to consumers like myself, is just too expensive at present. It would make sense for the government to kickstart the battery industry as they did with rooftop solar by offering subsidies. This is probably much cheaper than fixing the grid. In a related topic, most people I know would gladly avoid plastic packaging if they could, but you just can’t get away from the stuff these days. Government regulation is required to ban it. I’m quite confident that modern industry would find less environmentally damaging alternatives, as is happening with plastic shopping bags.

In my opinion this has been a constant theme ever since Puel tried to introduce a more possession oriented style.

Ever been asked to help out somewhere? You get there and everyone is going about their business doing stuff. You want to help but can’t seem to find a role, and perhaps even get in the way. This is how I see this lad. He looks a bit lost.

Enjoyed watching that. Subscribed.

Missed the first half, so probably better that I don’t comment except to say that if we want to play this style we’ll have to do it massively better than this to get out of this division let alone in the PL

Overslept and missed the first half Sounds like we’re a bit lucky to be in the lead?

That’s what I’ve done at my place, I think I have about 4 wifi access points scattered around linked by lan cabling and switches. I’ve read about mesh wifi, but it sounds relatively expensive, and my cobbled together network still seems to do the job. Another useful tool is a set of powerline adapters that provide lan connections over your electrical cabling. These can be used together with wifi access points to provide uniform coverage over the house. When they work they are brilliant, but they don’t in all cases.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding your argument here. Are you saying that we can simply rely on the market to fix climate change? Everything I’m reading on limiting the effect of climate change seems to suggest that the world is on track to +2.5c, or worse. It’s no good expecting the market to suddenly get on board and fix everything at the last moment, This situation is much more similar to that of an aircraft coming in to land. We need to be on a glide path now. If not we will simply miss the target, we can’t just correct at the last moment. Of course the market will play a role, but not without sustained political action based on science.

Problem is that if they don’t get called up they get itchy feet to move to a club where a call up is more likely

The digital ink on my post in the match thread, suggesting it was time to move on from Vardy, wasn't dry when he scored. Shouldn’t have doubted. Hope he goes on a run now. -
