Yes that's a good point, and has unfortunately led to too many European destinations becoming like Blackpool in the sunshine. I do think that many people from the States could do with broadening their minds and realising the world isn't just the States, but the same can probably be said for the majority of the world population, the Americans are just louder.
-
I've never been to the states but I'd be very surprised if the differences in culture, language, architecture and all round experience between Florida and Oregon are anywhere remotely near the differences between the UK and Greece or Spain.

I'd rather go without the beans altogether than have bean juice on the rest of my food, having them served separately is an absolute game changer when it comes to my enjoyment of a full English.

I get that it's news, but how horrific it must be for the poor family to not only to be going through this, but for it also to be constantly broadcast everywhere. I can't begin to imagine how they must feel.

Erm, it's definitely public, you don't need to be a member to view it
-
You are posting your opinions on a politics thread on a public forum, you're hardly trying to hide them Btw you mean 'leanings'

There are definitely too many people in prison who shouldn't be there. There are people there because of petty crimes which don't warrant a custodial sentence, people whose lives are sadly better in prison than they would be on the outside so they go out of their way to remain there, and people who unfortunately know no other life than that of crime. We need to fix the reasons on the outside which lead to some of these numbers, and make the lives of those who do need to be there more productive, and prepare those who will eventually be released for life outside.

Ah you mean this point? You really believe this to be true, and you think there is more money left by the recently departed Tory government than there was left by the last Labour government? I'd like to see your source for this https://ifs.org.uk/publications/conservatives-and-economy-2010-24

It's my misfortune that you are unable to make a coherent point? Ok
-
Nope, still don't understand your point?
-
Everybody knows there was a note, just the same as there has been with every government before and since, I'm really not sure what your point is?
-
Why are people still banging on about the note? It's been well documented that every outgoing government has left a note very similar, yet there is some kind of fixation on just one of them, it's bizarre.

That's why people should use swapmyvote, easiest way ever to make a vote count somewhere else if it won't in your own constituency
-
I know it won't feel like it at the moment, but maybe it just wasn't meant to be, and you'll find something even better soon.

I don't think it matters which way people vote to disagree with your statement that 'the last time they were in power was every bit as bad as things are now' I believe the answer to you first question is much of it due to the years of austerity, no, and austerity in that order. Your second point isn't a question

Yeah it was just as bad back then... https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/article/2024/jul/03/list-terrible-policy-conservatives-britain-2010 https://www.statista.com/statistics/382695/uk-foodbank-users/ https://www.tuc.org.uk/news/child-poverty-working-households-has-increased-over-1300-week-2010#:~:text=The analysis shows that the,the breadline in the UK. https://www.london.gov.uk/new-report-reveals-uk-economy-almost-ps140billion-smaller-because-brexit#:~:text=The new report%2C by Cambridge,of Brexit%2C the report reveals.
