  1. Sounds similar to what South Korea are doing to battle falling birthrates. Wonder if it will work any better in America.
  2. You aren't going to stop people from being bad parents. Doesn't mean good ones should potentially be punished for essentially something completely natural.
  3. Yup, between two 14 year olds. What's the problem if they are both the same age and mature enough for it?
  4. Think it's pretty common sense tbh. I lost mine at 15 with another 15 year old. Would have been odd, and unnecessary, if a teacher had started reporting us for it. And that was over 20 years ago.
  5. Interesting. I'd definitely say unpopular. But would you mind unpacking this bolded bit a little more? How much do you personally think you should support your own children?
  6. Had the best of both worlds, had an accidental kid when I was 34. Got 2 now and love them to bits, would have hated them if I was 24 though. Wasn't finished living my life yet I don't think there is anything wrong with having kids if you can support them. Unless you're trying to procreate a football team or something crazy like that.
  7. Everyone is going to have their own opinion and learn in their own way. I'm not in any way saying that this should be the only medium for educating parents, just that it will help some. In pretty much the same way that 13 reasons why and sex education, both fictional tv shows, helped with their own issues. Every little helps imo.
  8. My old man, who's a country raised, men are men, men have no feelings caveman type rang me after he'd finished watching it and he was shaken up by it. Far too many parents don't understand what their kids see and/or do online and if a show like this can reach a man like my old man, it could reach enough people to be useful.
  9. Bookies having a right laugh. Should at least be some good offers for the last day if this keeps up
  10. Well both of you can suck on my big toe. Nobbers
  11. https://share.octopus.energy/green-wind-738 £100 split between the person giving and person using. I assume £50 each. Not life changing but any free money is welcome money.
  12. This is why I like octopus. Probably one of the best customers services I've ever come across. Just remember if your moving supplier most give out some reward for getting people so find a friend/family on the same supplier for the referral link thingy.
  13. ...literally the only thing I can see about it is he gave an interview some time ago saying he was gay. Then came to England and has a girlfriend, and a daughter? Not quite sure what the point your trying to make is but I'm not entirely sure he counts as openly gay in the context of this dicussion.
  14. First one out is gonna get the majority of the abuse from the fans. Always a chance that some players wouldn't be happy either. And on top of those risks you've got to have the fortitude to be hunted down by every media company between here and Mars for an interview. And become the premier leagues rainbow poster boy with all that entails. Can't blame anyone for not wanting to come out while still playing. Unless a handful do it at the same time, I can't see it happening for a while. Too much for one man imo.
  15. Could have just done the right thing and been washed Broncos wtf.
  16. To the surprise of no one. They were also told the shite budget would mean further tax rises/spending cuts next year and absolutely nothing that has happened since the budget has shifted that near certainty. Truss got 49 days in the big chair and was booted out after her shite budget. How this bunch of clowns have been allowed longer is beyond me.
  17. Just silly behaviour isn't it. Makes zero sense not to when people are getting sick and hospitals are overrun. Out of all the bull covid rules that came and went, I think wearing a mask was the least bothersome of the lot. Only bothered the people that wanted to be bothered imo.
  18. Peak Taylor, and probably easily so. Man was the undisputed goat of darts. Baby Littler has plenty of years to get that title though.
  19. SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador -- El Salvador closed 2024 with a record low 114 homicides, continuing notable security gains under a second full year of a state of emergency that has given the government extraordinary powers and curtailed some fundamental rights. President Nayib Bukele said via the social platform X that the number announced Wednesday by the small Central American country’s Attorney General’s Office made it the safest nation in the Western Hemisphere. Say what you will about these fairly mental methods, but it's hard to argue against the results. Sounds like the general population of El Salvador are huge fans of the president too. Some turnaround of a country that was in serious trouble.
  20. Whichever muppet greenlit a 7 episode, half a story season of squid games needs a kick in the bollocks. What a waste of time.
  21. Bloody hell. Great performance from Wright. If he plays like that he'll take some beating. Where the hell has he been all year?!
  22. Santa (the in-laws) bought my 2 year old a couple of hundred quids worth of toys and clothes. She ran into the house, snatched a bauble off the Christmas tree, and has been happily playing with that for the last 45 minutes. Never has the chant of "what a waste of money" echoed in my mind so strong.
  23. It is. But anyone on the receiving end of a false allegation will unlikely feel differently. Currently have a family member due in court over something like this. Was supposed to be settled July 2024, after the "investigation" took 18 months. Now delayed til at least August 2025. All while they are holding £10k til he is proven innocent. A ridiculous situation to be in.
