  1. This is absolutely damning. It took until the second half against Hull for us to finally show fight. If they'd shown an ounce of that all season we'd have likely been fine. Players who couldn't give a shit.
  2. If Nigel wanted it, I think we could do a lot worse. He'd arrest the slide. Could look to move him into a DOF role in a couple of years. I think the replacement needs to be that kind of character at the very least.
  3. Whoa we're winning 2-1 here in a must win game to keep a glimmer of hope alive, how do I kill this? I know, James off for Winks. Well done Gary.
  4. Not filling gaping holes in the squad. Not having a competent goalkeeper. Not sacking an underperforming manager soon enough. Not appointment the managerial replacement until a few games have been wasted. It's a good job we did that internal review so that mistakes aren't repeated.
  5. A good business person doesn't react to what is going on today, they react to what they can see coming down the line. They prepare the business for it. The "we promote next season" is damning because we have an owner who cannot see the direction of travel. Blinkers are firmly on. Even with the horrendous running of the club, we could have used 23/24 to take our poison. Get the points deduction hit. Spend little. Reset. Look at Ipswich, knew they were probably going down, built a solid Champ team for when that happened: future planning. Instead our ownership thinks that to be a big club you need to offer big club wages and spend money you don't have. We need the next Pearson to save us. Someone who will have complete control over the footballing side. Sports science. No dickheads. Play for the shirt. Only then will we start to heal.
  6. If you don't feel safe walking round the city you were born in, do something useful and ****ing resign Jon. Top apparently is unable to see it so do it yourself.
  7. The email I had back from them suggested the deadline was 29th April at 5pm, but I have seen both dates floating around. Will be cancelling today to make sure anyway.
  8. What's the point of VAR if it's not stepping in there
  9. Fun games so far which means this next one is 0-0
  10. This Sunderland side are great value.
  11. Nobody has said they enjoy Forest winning. Just that it would be funny for Spurs to go down. Sometimes people have different opinions.
  12. I'm guessing the stats don't bear that out. If there was a genuine advantage in leaving players up you'd see more teams do it. We don't counter attack anyway so it's a moot point for us.
  13. + Derby, Stoke, West Brom, Bristol.
  14. Don't think this is just us. Pretty much every team brings the whole team back to defend corners now.
  15. Bet we don't have a permanent manager in before pre season starts.
  16. I think we'll finally see the player exodus we've needed for a while. Players will be willing to drop wages to avoid playing in league 1 and we'll be forced into selling players below previous unrealistic values. There's no floor to where we can drop if the higher ups keep their blinkers on but I think it's extremely unlikely we drop again (admittedly the same was true 12 months ago).
  17. "Had a good game" 😂😂😂 Come on.
  18. No, he should have been sacked sooner. I really worry about how a Cifuentes team would have handled the deduction. Think form would have plummeted under him too. On the managerial side we've made the same mistakes we made in 23: hung on to a manager for too long, left a caretaker in charge for vital games, got in a poor manager with no skin in the game beyond a limited number of games. Glad that internal review meant we learnt from all of our mistakes.
  19. I wouldn't mind the happy clappers half as much if they actually did generate a decent atmosphere at home games.
  20. Won 1 game since he came in. In that time: Portsmouth: 6 wins West Brom: 3 wins Oxford: 5 wins Blackburn: 3 wins
  21. Just to add that we haven't won 3 consecutive games all season.
  22. Give it up mate.
  23. Both Oxford and West Brom still have Sheff Weds to play, and won't fumble that opportunity like we did.
  24. Get Hodgson in and let King learn from him for 12 months. A season of stopping the slide and playing youth.
  25. We've seen this same bunch outplayed by Walsall and Huddersfield in recent seasons. The club is rotten and there will be no quick return.
