Ndidi > Casadei is such a massive downgrade as we saw during that period when Ndidi was injured. Feel like AFCON will affect us more than the other top 4 teams on that factor alone. Unless Enzo is as annoyed as us with Casadei, and Praet is now ahead of him in the pecking order?

He did acknowledge that his style has already evolved over his short managerial career, as he looks for solutions to improve when an issue surfaces, eg. looking at the recent two late goals conceded. However, he did also say that we haven't hit a rough patch yet, but when we do, that will be the time to see whether the players can stick to the plan.....

Yup - he said Cannon being kept out by Vardy/Kel was an identical situation to Coady being kept out by Vesty.

Just heading back from the Q&A event with Enzo. A few bits that stood out: - He would like to stay with us for 3 to 4 years after promotion to try and build something important in the PL. - Two days before a game, the team works on the attacking system/on the ball tactics. The day before a game, they work on the defensive system/off the ball tactics. - His main managerial inspirations are Pep (obviously) and Pelligrini. - Not much about specific tactics (much better covered in the masterclass video anyway). Mentioned how Ricardo gives more quality and Hamza gives more physicality in that important inverted fullback role, but that both have been excellent when called upon. - He thinks we deserved to win the Hull and Boro games, but not the Sheff Wed one (which he thinks was our worst performance of the season). He told the players as much the day after the Weds game. - He says we don't attack quick because that means the opponent will also attack quick and he doesn't want it to turn into a basketball game. If we get up the pitch with tiki taka it means our defence will be in position when we lose the ball. - He thinks the main reason we score so much more in the last half hour of games, is that the opponents tend to be more aggressive with pressing at the start, then sit back later in the game. - He and Claudio text each other occasionally, Claudio still sings praises about the club. - His two 'non-negotiables' for the players are 1) Commitment and 2) Keeping the ball (this was said completely seriously). And he will not be changing his style in the PL. - Cannon is fit but needs to wait for his chance as Vardy and Kel are doing well. - Alves and Braybrooke look special, he hopes to give Alves some chances before the end of the season. He expects more from the homegrown players like KDH than non-academy players. - Next 2 games are at a crucial point in the season and needs fans' support as they can feel the atmosphere from on the pitch.

Don't think Simo has retired formally, he's been doing the media bits for a couple years, but during that time has also given interviews and made Instagram posts about continuing to wait for a call from a club as a free agent.

Wonder if Danny Simpson will follow shortly, he seems really reluctant to formally retire but has been hanging out with Drinky a lot every preseason for the past few years, awaiting a call from any club

It sounds like the decision was already made before our game, a decision based on his past couple months of poor results. The new manager didn't want to start with a game against us. It's possible the players knew, and their performance was a new manager bounce of sorts.

We broke Ashley Barnes in that game, he's been out injured since. Might have something to do with it, as he seemed a really important player for them.

Prefer to only read the Leeds and Southampton forums for reasonable comments about us, as everyone else just repeats the same FFP and parachute payment comments.

There aren't that many staff needed to sort the pyrotechnics and lighting/music, and I'm sure they got paid for the overtime. Just as they would do if someone hired out the hospitality areas for a private event. From your previous posts, you do seem to try and make little digs against KP/Top/Thailand whenever possible.

What's the issue? If two football fans have the opportunity to get privately engaged on the pitch of a club they support, why not? I imagine many Leicester fan couples would be delighted if given the opportunity to do the same. It's not as bad as fully grown adults with dramatic public proposals at Disneyland or wherever. Let them be.

They were encouraging people to arrive early for the fan store release event "to avoid disappointment", and also said that it would only be sold in store (not online) So it's safe to say it wasn't anywhere as popular as they expected, but not really a flop, it will probably still sell out in a month or two.

You can see how many of each size is left in stock if you keep increasing the number in your basket until it gives you an error. 50+ left at a rough guess.

Is needing a U18 to sit in P blocks still a thing, or can an adult go alone? Seems to allow the seat selection online.
