What is the legality of taking cuttings from a hedge in a field? It always annoys me that the birds get to the damsons before I do, so I fancy relocating some damson bush to our garden where the dogs will keep the birds off the fruit. Naturally, the legality or illegality of the act is not going to stop me from doing it - farmer hacks away at the hedge every year, so in a way I’d be helping.

Pets are now able to do the social media things for you, freeing up time to get on with more sensible pursuits.

I think we both know that this is a false equivalence.

I don’t think our housing crisis is a reason to scupper economic growth, I think it’s a reason to build more homes - especially affordable homes and social housing. Licence ≠ contract You can apply for a driving licence, you do not enter into a contract only to use British cars.

It unequivocally doesn’t. The country has chronic staffing shortages in multiple critical areas and an ageing population that needs its pensions paid. This only gets solved by increasing the working population level through migration.

And if they employed sufficient staff at the Home Office in the first place then asylum applications could be processed fast enough not to warrant lengthy, expensive stays in hotels, processing centres or prison ships. 80% of applications are eventually granted - the problem is the broken system.

Name one other thing they could fight it on? Competence? Economy? Armed Forces? Education? Health Service? Environment? You point to any of the traditional battlegrounds and they’ve spectacularly, comprehensively and demonstrably fvcked it up. A battle with themselves over a fictional threat when the country needs immigration to boost the economy is the only thing they have left other than worrying about alien attacks.

On the radio. I’ve been waging a war against the family for years though as I hate any of the scent emitting things including deodorants. Makes my chest seize up. Loathesome things.

I was today years old when I discovered that scented candles are toxic to dogs.

Aha, but if everyone else dies of starvation or drowning then they won’t be able to navigate the elevated waters to what’s left of Britain…which won’t need much in the way of food as most poor people will have drowned also. Honestly, if you all weren’t clever enough to be multimillionaires before the climate catastrophe then that’s on you, suckers.

Depends on the road I guess. Sometimes when the A14 has been blocked sat-navs send idiots along the b-roads near us. They drive like they’re still on a dual carriageway. Then they meet me doing 30-40 and get angry…but I know there’s muntjac jumping out of every other hedgerow and prefer not to have to buy a new wing and clean blood from the windscreen. One road is also covered in deep potholes now. At 40 you can stop if a car comes the other way, at 60 you’ll be smashing into it to avoid the hole or needing to replace pats of the suspension and a wheel. Everyone’s in such a hurry these days.

Wasn’t my point, it was yours.

I’ll be alive in 5-6 generations time? Result. Bring on the war.
