Not a player, but for Maresca: A Bridge Too Far

I don't expect any change to occur in the EU as there are so many opinions, time zones etc. It won't happen in the UK because many people will see it as a "European" thing and will reject It. My pet comment was light hearted. Although, I remember reading that a majority of British people prefer their pets to their children, so it might sway their opinion😃

It would give some of the people who comment here plenty of time to learn how to spell his name

Lose the next 3 and he must be gone. After the WBA game there are 12 days until the next league game.
-
I think I was wrong earlier (above). If the UK adopts permanent "winter time" then in June-July it would be light at at 04.00 and dark at 20.30. The solution to this "problem" would be to shift everything forward 1 hour (bedtime, getting up etc.). Merry Christmas.
-
I think this is a good idea. It would not affect the UK but I can see that the public in general in the other countries involved might be against such changes. For example, in southern Spain (where my wife is from), in June-July it would be dark at 19.30 instead of at 21.30 at present. People would be claiming that the days are 2 hours shorter, when in fact the natural daylength would not be affected. I think people would soon adjust to the changes (like they do twice a year at present). I think that mornings would also be slightly LIGHTER in winter (dawn would be 1 hour earlier) I´ve not yet read the full document, but another benefit would be for pets, who will no longer be confused twice a year when their owners are still in bed or get up earlier!

Perhaps it was related to the number of victims. Also, the man had at least one previous conviction for assault.

What about that lad who scored a cracker for Zambia today? Er, hold on

I dread to think what the comments on here will be like if he scores the winner against England next summer -
Thanks. I'll never trust Google again! I was also one of those 6155

Just checked on Google and the attendance against Shrewsbury in 1983 was 8440 (8469 in 1987). The seasons with the lowest attendances were 85-86 and 86-87, both in the old Div 1. Crowds of little over 7000 against West Brom, QPR etc. (so, fewer than 7000 home fans). The crowds for our away games at Villa and Chelsea were around 12,500

I seem to remember Lingard getting booed when he was here on loan, perhaps because he was a Man Utd player

Perhaps we should follow the Everton game plan. Get Daka to slap Faes in front of the ref in the 10th minute -
I don't know what I'd do without your "limbs and absolute scenes in the away end"

Although his time wasting against Boro gave them a corner

I think he should be given more time. On the eve of the season a poll here showed that the majority of us didn´t think we would finish in the top 8, so we are where many of us thought we would be. However, there are certain areas of play (throw-ins etc.) that need to be improved and there are some players with talent whose confidence has disappeared (Mavididi etc.) - these are things that managers and coaches can improve. We have this playing squad (and manager) because we are skint, even after taking in 50+ million quid in the summer. If we are in this league position in January then the owners will have to decide whether to stick (spend no money and accept a probable mid-table finish) or twist (spend some money on a couple of players to try and get promotion).

The composition of olive oil, and some other oils, is healthier than that of lard and dripping. Partly to do with the polyunsaturated fatty acids content and partly the content of phenolic compounds. The downside is the cost, so use it in moderation.

Don't take the p out of Skipp

You got there before I did 😃

1. I don´t think we deliberately sat deep and tried to hold onto the lead, we were just unable to keep the ball for more than 5 seconds, allowing Boro to dominate possession. This from a team of experienced players. Example: from the free kick after their man was sent off, we (Ayew) had lost the ball within 5 seconds. 2. Do they ever practice throw-ins? Other teams, like Boro, take a throw and 3 seconds later they´ve got the ball under control and are building an attack. Nine times out of 10 we have lost the ball within 2 seconds of taking a throw. Can they not make runs infield to receive the ball or to leave space for a ball to feet? 3. What is wrong with Mavididi? In the 92nd min, his stupid attempted back flick to Daka on the half-way line (instead of controlling the ball and running with it) went straight to their centre half, setting up their next attack. He seems to have lost all confidence and interest.

I understand, you want to be there for Daka's testimonial season 😃

Both of them played for us, Wayne played under Pleat I think

Basically, if they can't beat a mediocre team like Blackburn at home then the future looks bleak. I was in block H, among the booers and the clappers. I did neither

The drop in global greenhouse gas emissions in 2020-21 shows what their main source is Temperatures have varied a lot over a time scale of thousands of years. The difference now is the speed of increase in the last 200 years
