West Brom have ground out a couple of 0-0 draws and will probably improve from there. We need to do the same.
-
To avoid relegation we need a Manager (King is a coach) who will start by tightening up the defence so that we can grind out 0-0 draws, like West Brom are doing. Easier said than done though.

All the new players, except Lascelles, and all the young players should start on Saturday. If we get hammered, so what?
-
I was there in 97, sitting with the home fans

Even I joined in with "Ee aye ee aye ee io up the football league we go". What happened to the young lad on the right? LOL

Our lawyers have advised us to say nothing🇪🇦💃🍺⚖️ It is the La Manga incident?

I think It was April 91. I was there. We lost but beat Oxford in the last game to stay up

"Rip It Up and Start Again (post-punk 1978-1984)" by Simon Reynolds. As the title suggests, a look at the new UK and US bands of that era. His writing style is excellent. I skipped a few pages on the groups I don´t know but otherwise it´s very good. Featured groups include Joy Division, The Fall, Human League, Public Image Ltd, Devo, Talking Heads, Cabaret Voltaire, Madness, Specials, Simple Minds, Orange Juice etc. etc.

Leicester getting to half time with 11 men

I had Super Striker. I think the keeper's arms extended when he dived. Luxury!

Leeds is the best of those cities. I was there last year and it´s the lack of greenery that made it a concrete jungle (like Birmingham). The indoor shopping centre, arcades and corn exchange are fine but the rest is a bit depressing. The nicest big cities in the UK are London, Cardiff and Edinburgh (Bristol has some good parts too). In general, the smaller British cities are more pleasant: Cambridge, Oxford, Chester, Bath, Lincoln, Durham etc.
-
It's a common change in UK cities. People have increasingly shifted to buying things on line or at large supermarkets. Now, in many cities there is a decent indoor shopping centre together with a small area of independent shops but the rest is fast food places etc. Leicester is one example. Others are Derby, Luton and Leeds.

I have a UK passport and the Spanish ID card for foreign residents. Perhaps It is a good job I haven't taken dual nationality. I can only vote in local elections, not national ones, but I can live with that.
-
I assume your daughter has dual nationality (you didn´t state it explicitly). If she does, then it seems she needs a UK passport to enter the UK. If she doesn´t then it seems she needs an EU (Bulgarian?) or UK passport. Is that correct? I recently applied for a new UK passport from Spain. It was easy and quick, but expensive. I don´t know the situation for children. I have a friend who lives in Sweden, as a dual national. He doesn´t have a UK passport any more and so can´t enter the UK. He has a Swedish passport but he can´t enter the UK with that (whereas 9 million passport-holding Swedes can!) There are some "ex pat" web pages that discuss these matters Good luck!

If he comes in and we finish 15th, we'll be running on the pitch to carry him on our shoulders, unless we get tasered by the KP ICE squad
-
That's what I expected 😃. I'll post again when the flak dies down. Is the problem that people have with Martin due to his playing style, his personality, his beard?
-
Based on his performance in the Championship (15th and 10th at Swansea, promotion at Saints), I'd be happy to have Russell Martin. Right now I don't care about the playing style, results are all that matter (although he did make a slow start at Saints)

A 3 points deduction and it's 50-50 whether we go down, depending on how the new signings do and when JJ returns A 6+ points deduction and it's Mansfield here we come. I hope I'm wrong
-
Peter Eastoe in 83-84. Newly promoted to the old Division 1, with about 2 points from 9 games before he arrived. Great ball control, back to goal. We stayed up with games to spare
-
A long time ago, but were they loans or signings? Both were quality players
-
The FA Cup game should be handy for trying out new players/positions/formations
-
I suppose that's what happened when we signed Cannon
